The Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev), as Vice Chair of the National Innovation Council (NIC), invites Filipinnovators nationwide to join the 2026 Presidential Filipinovation Awards. Innovators are encouraged to present solutions that drive inclusive growth, empower communities, and help shape the country’s future.

Who Can Apply:
✅ Filipino individuals and Filipino-owned enterprises
✅ Innovations that are ready to move beyond concept and into application

Beyond national recognition, finalists and awardees will be supported with cash grants, structured mentoring and coaching from top experts, as well as participation in international innovation-related events. The Presidential Filipinnovation Awards also serve as a national platform that connects innovators with industry stakeholders, potential partners, and investors, helping accelerate the development, validation, and commercialization of promising innovations.

Interested applicants are encouraged to register early and complete their submission, including all required documents, through the official portal: filipinnovation.depdev.gov.ph. Applications will be accepted from January 15 to March 15, 2026.

MGA NEGOSYANTENG MAGBIBIGAY-TRABAHO SA PWD AT SENIORS, BIBIGYAN NG TAX INCENTIVES

Makakatanggap ng insentibo ang mga negosyante sa Puerto Princesa City na bubuksan ang kanilang mga establisyento para mag-bigay trabaho sa mga Senior Citizens at Person with Disability matapos aprobahan ang City Ordinance No. 1290 kamakailan.

Batay sa ordinansang iniakda ni City Councilor Erwin Edualino at nilagdaan ni Mayor Lucilo Bayron, ang mga kwalipikadong negosyante ay maaaring makakuha ng 50% tax deduction mula sa kabuuang taunang sahod ng kanilang mga empleyadong senior o PWD.

Ang halagang ito ay ibabawas sa kanilang gross income, na magreresulta sa mas mababang tax charges para sa kumpanya.

Layunin ng ordinansa na hikayatin ang mga employer na kilalanin ang kakayahan at skills ng mga nasa vulnerable sector sa halip na ituring silang pasanin sa produksyon.

Para makuha ang insentibo, kinakailangan lamang na ihanda ang mga sertipikasyon ng mga empleyadong Senior at PWD mula sa Office of the Senior Citizens Affair at Persons with Disability Affairs Office.

Dapat din umanong nakapag trabaho na ang mga empleyadong nasa vulnerable sector nang hindi bababa sa isang taon, residente ng lungsod at dapat nakakatanggap ng minimum wage.

Ang mga dokumentong ito ay dadalhin sa City Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) para sa beripikasyon, bago tumuloy sa City Treasurer’s Office para sa pormal na pag-apply ng tax incentive.
