Magandang araw. Mabuhay ! This is to inform everyone that we will be having a basketball tryouts this Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Purok Abanico Basketball Court.

Selected players will be the representatives of our barangay for the Puerto Princesa City Mayor's Cup Basketball tournament.

COMPETITION GUIDELINES:
-The tournament shall be conducted in accordance with the latest FIBA Rules 2022 and the regulation of International
Competition as notified by and/or supplemented in the guidelines stated hereunder.

ELIGIBILITY RULES:
- PLAYERS MUST BE BONAFIDE RESIDENTS OF PUERTO PRINCESA CITY AND A REGISTERED VOTER'S OF THEIR
RESPECTIVE BARANGAY.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. PHOTOCOPY OF VOTER'S ID OR VOTER'S CERTIFICATION FROM COMELEC

2. SIGNED WAIVER (FOR PLAYERS 18 YEARS OLD AND BELOW, WAIVER MUST BE SIGNED BY THEIR PARENT OR GUARDIAN AND ATTESTED BY THE BARANGAY CHAIRMAN OF THEIR RESPECTIVE TEAM)

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay San Pedro together with the San Pedro Youth Volunteers are in full support to the celebration of the International Youth Day 2023 with a theme "GREEN SKILLS FOR YOUTH: Towards a Sustainable World".

The shift towards an environmentally sustainable and climate-friendly world is critical not only for responding to the global climate crisis but also for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A successful transition towards a greener world will depend on the development of green skills in the population.

Presenting the tough winners of the recently concluded battle of the brains "NUTRI QUIZ BEE 2023" in line with the Nutrition Month Celebration held last July 30, 2023 at Barangay San Pedro Multipurpose Hall, Puerto Princesa city.

Among the 10 tough participants who accepted the challenge, Ms. Carmela Abaa of Purok Maunlad bagged 1st place with an overall score of 62 points while Ms. Nikka Lei Basaya of Purok Pag-asa snatched the 2nd spot with an overall score of 57 points and Mr. Jamil Garados of Purok Abanico bagged the 3rd place with an overall score of 54 points out of 85 points combined total scores from the Easy round with 15 questions equivalent to 2 points each questions, Average round with 10 points equivalent to 3 points each questions and Difficult round with an equivalent 5 points each questions.

Congratulations to all participating youth of Barangay San Pedro. May your wits and talents inspire other Kabataan in the community.
