We are proud to welcome you to the growing family of DOST Scholars in MIMAROPA, as you begin your journey in contributing to science, technology, and innovation for the service of the Filipino people.

As DOST scholars, you will receive the following support:
✅ Php 8,000 monthly stipend
✅ Php 40,000/year tuition support (for private institutions)
✅ Php 10,000/year learning materials or connectivity support
✅ Php 1,000 clothing allowance (one-time)
✅ Php 10,000 thesis allowance
✅ Php 1,000 graduation allowance
✅ One round-trip economy-class fare per year (for out-of-province studies)
✅ Group health and accident insurance

📌 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬:
• Qualifiers with an asterisk (*) beside their name are subject to revalidation of information/documents. Some names have also been temporarily withheld pending submission of required documentation. Concerned applicants will receive further instructions from DOST-MIMAROPA.
• All successful qualifiers will receive a 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 via their registered email with details on the required orientation and signing of the Scholarship Agreement.

This afternoon, we were honored by the presence of an exemplary leader, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐍. 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐚, 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐌𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐀. As a guest speaker during Dr. Aris Larroder’s session on Professional Excellence, Dr. Sepeda shared a meaningful reminder with our scholars: “Leadership is not just a decision to influence and be influenced by others, but also a decision to serve others.”

In his welcome message, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐓. 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐨 𝐈𝐈𝐈, Provincial Director of PSTO Palawan, reminded the scholars that leadership is not merely about holding power, but about becoming the kind of leader our nation truly needs.

As future engineers, doctors, public servants, and community leaders, may they carry with them the responsibility to serve the Filipino people.

“When you eventually find yourself in a position to lead the community, become the leader that this nation badly needs.”

If you’re an incoming third-year college student taking a DOST-SEI priority course, you may qualify to become a DOST scholar and receive support to help advance your studies and reach your full potential in science and technology.

Check out the priority programs offered by State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the MIMAROPA Region.

Eligible students may apply for:
• RA 7687 Scholarship
• Merit Scholarship
• RA 10612 Scholarship

Note: Students whose programs are not yet CHED COE/COD or FAAP Level III accredited may still apply under the RA 10612 Scholarship Program.

If your school or course isn’t on the list, don’t worry—you may still submit an application. Just be prepared to provide your school details, grading system, and proof of FAAP Level III accreditation or higher (except for RA 10612 applicants).
