ENVICON26 🌿🍃 | Day 1

Through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office the Cleopatra’s Needle Critical Habitat Management Office (CNCHMO) actively participated in ENVICON26 by joining the event through an exhibit booth. The booth showcased the diverse wildlife found within and beyond the critical habitat, with special emphasis on endemic species.

To further enrich the experience, interactive games were prepared to engage participants and enhance their knowledge and appreciation of the Cleopatra’s Needle Critical Habitat in an enjoyable and meaningful way. 🤗🌱

Today, December 15, 2025, we commemorate the 8th Anniversary of the Cleopatra's Needle Critical Habitat from its declaration as a critical habitat on December 15, 2017 by the PCSD. It was further adopted by the issuance of SP Resolution No. 347-2017, Executive Order No. 2018-21, and City Ordinance No. 1247 by the City Government of Puerto Princesa.

Hi, nature lovers and hikers! 🌄
Alam naming sabik kayong maranasan ang ganda ng Mt. Cleopatra’s Needle — ngunit sa ngayon, hindi pa ito bukas para sa hiking at trekking. Ang lugar ay bahagi ng core zone ng critical habitat, na nangangailangan ng maingat na pamamahala at konsultasyon kasama ang mga katutubong komunidad upang mapangalagaan ito.

Magkaisa tayo sa pagprotekta sa ating critical habitat para sa mga susunod na henerasyon. 💚
