With the theme “BEST PALAWAN: Building Excellence and Strategic Teamwork: Purposeful Alignment Leading All Ways Across New Heights Together,” DILG Palawan successfully conducted its four-day team conference last May 18–21, 2026, at the VJR Hall, Provincial Capitol Compound.
The event was graced by the DILG MIMAROPA Regional Management team, led by ARD Rey S. Maranan, CESO V, along with LGMED Chief Andrew B. Gonzalvo, LGCDD Chief Teresita G. Iglesia, FAD Chief Atty. Pilipinas D. Baclayen, and PDMU Chief Analyn M. Bucayo.
📊 Key Highlights of the 4-Day Conference:
🔹 Infrastructure & Project Updates: The PDMU Engineers kicked off the discussions with comprehensive progress reports on FALGU, Food Assistance, SGLG-IF, Growth Equity Fund (GEF), Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP), and SAFPB Projects, alongside RSSA monitoring updates.
🔹 Finance & Admin Efficiency: LGOO V Cheryl N. Martinez tackled FAD Scoresheets and solutions for recurring submission issues, followed by PO process owners who discussed vital updates on ISO Processes.
🔹 Capability Development: LGOO V Randell B. Dotillos led the updates on the CapDev Scorecard and oriented the team on the upcoming Field Office Proven Practices Documentation Writeshop.
🔹 Monitoring & Evaluation: LGOO V Cheryl N. Martinez, LGOO V Randell B. Dotillos and LGOO II Jo-Amie Grace D. Tabat jointly highlighted flagship PPAs, status of Functionality Audits and Assessments and critical upcoming deliverables.
The DILG MIMAROPA Division Chiefs and Regional Management delivered high-level updates, strategic guidance, and policy directions to align provincial goals with regional targets. This was followed by a productive open forum, allowing for collaborative discussions and clarifications among the field officers and staff.
Leading up to the awarding ceremony, the Provincial Director delivered the "Provincial Director's Hour," inspiring the team with reminders on integrity, accountability, and teamwork. Assistant Regional Director Rey S. Maranan, CESO V, also delivered an encouraging message, commending DILG Palawan’s unwavering dedication to excellence.
This productive gathering served as a vital venue for comprehensive monitoring, coordination, capability enhancement, and policy guidance. Beyond the numbers and reports, it was a meaningful time for team strengthening and recognizing exemplary performance—all to reinforce our commitment to effective local governance and efficient public service across the Province of Palawan! 🤝💼
