Coast Guard Station Central Palawan and its sub-stations activated its Deployable Response Group (DRG) in anticipation of the possible effects of Super Typhoon "INDAY" (International Name: BAVI).

The activation was prompted by the latest DOST-PAGASA Tropical Cyclone Advisory on Super Typhoon BAVI, locally named "INDAY," which has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
As part of its proactive response, CGS Central Palawan has organized and placed its Deployable Response Group on standby to ensure the immediate deployment of personnel and assets for humanitarian assistance, search and rescue, maritime safety, and disaster response operations whenever necessary.

The station is likewise maintaining close coordination with government agencies to ensure operational readiness, continuous monitoring of weather developments, and the timely dissemination of advisories to the maritime community and the general public.

CGS Central Palawan advises all vessel operators, fishermen, and coastal communities to remain vigilant, monitor official weather bulletins from DOST-PAGASA, and strictly comply with the directives of local authorities and the Philippine Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard Sub-Station Narra, under Coast Guard Station Central Palawan, successfully rendered medical assistance to a 62-year-old individual on board MBCA Cha and Sheng while navigating the waters off Brgy Bato-Bato, Narra, Palawan.

The individual reportedly experienced numbness in both hands, accompanied by slurred speech and weakness on the left side of his body. Recognizing the symptoms of a possible stroke, his companion immediately informed his relatives and requested urgent assistance.

Upon receiving the report, CGSS Narra promptly coordinated with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Narra and the Narra Emergency Response Unit (NERU) to facilitate the immediate provision of medical assistance and the safe transport of the patient to a medical facility.

Following the prompt response and coordinated rescue efforts, the patient was successfully transported to Narra Municipal Hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.

CGS Central Palawan and its subordinate units remain steadfast in their commitment to providing prompt and responsive assistance to individuals in distress within the maritime domain in support of the Philippine Coast Guard's Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response and Enforcement (ICARE) program.

In support of the "Oplan Biyaheng Ayos during the Balik Eskwela S.Y. 2026-2027, Coast Guard Station Central Palawan activated its Passenger Assistance Center (PAC) and deployed personnel to manned the DOTr Malasakit Help Desks at ports within its area of responsibility.

The initiative aims to ensure the safety, security, reliability, and convenience of the traveling public during the Balik Eskwela season. CGSCP Personnel are providing assistance to passengers, addressing inquiries and concerns, disseminating travel safety information, and coordinating with partner agencies to facilitate the orderly movement of travelers.

The activity aligns with the Philippine Coast Guard's iCARE (Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement) program, highlighting the organization's commitment to delivering responsive public service, strengthening maritime safety awareness, and enhancing assistance mechanisms for the riding public. Through iCARE, the Coast Guard Station Central Palawan continues to promote proactive engagement with communities while ensuring swift response and effective enforcement of maritime safety regulations.

Coast Guard Station Central Palawan successfully participated in the Modified MEP Function and Inspection Course and Oil Spill Awareness and Emergency Response Training.

The training was designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and operational readiness of CGSCP personnel in addressing oil spill incidents and environmental emergencies. Through a series of lectures, practical exercises, and response simulations, participants gained valuable insights into oil spill preparedness, mitigation measures, inspection procedures, and coordinated emergency response operations.

This initiative aims to strengthen the capability of Coast Guard Station Central Palawan to effectively combat oil spill incidents and ensure a timely, efficient, and coordinated response to maritime environmental threats within its area of responsibility.

In a steadfast commitment to strengthening inter-agency coordination and maritime partnerships, CAPT ADONIS P AÑASCO PCG, Acting Station Commander of Coast Guard Station Central Palawan, conducted a series of courtesy visits to key partner agencies in Puerto Princesa City.

These strategic engagements were anchored on the Philippine Coast Guard’s Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement (iCARE) program, aiming to build a more holistic and unified approach to regional maritime governance.

Accompanied by key station officers, CAPT AÑASCO PCG met with the heads and representatives of vital stakeholder agencies, including:
