Puerto Princesa City Parole and Probation Office (PPCPPO) Launches Livelihood Education and Access Program (LEAP) For Probationers and Parolees.
The PPCPPO officially launched the Livelihood Education and Access Program on May 20, 2026 at 3rd Congressional District of Palawan, Oisca St. Barangay Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa City to provide essential skills training, livelihood support and educational opportunities to probationers and parolees.
The program formally commenced with an opening remarks delivered by the Officer-in-Charge of PPCPPO, SrPPO Robelle D. Cabrestante. The opening message emphasized the value of this program to empower the clients under probation and parole to improve and develop their skills and knowledge, to enhance their capacity for reparation and restitution to their victims and for their successful reintegration into society.
The launching was highlighted by the guest speakers from various government agencies such as Puerto Princesa School of Arts and Trades - TESDA led by Ms. Mitzi Gaile Descallar who is an Intructor III and designated Vocational/ Career Guidance officer, followed by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) -MIMAROPA Office led by Ms. Leyanita A. Comidoy a Livelihood Development Specialist, and Alternative Learning System (ALS) led by Ma'am Gemma D. Ledesma, Education Program Specialist II and Mr. Ephraim B. Redison who is ALS Teacher in the Division of Puerto Princesa City. Each guest speaker encouraged the Probationers and Parolees to take this kind of opportunity as part of their successful reintegration.
As part of the LEAP launching, the personnel of PPCPPO led by PPO II Leila Eleanor G. Saac, CDA Ruie Angel B. Ordonio, JO Prince Robbyn D. Alisuag, JO Lea Joy P. Llenado, and JO Gennie B. Calalin discussed Modules 1-5 β providing structured interventions focused on skills development, educational enhancement, livelihood support and values formation.
The PPCPPO, under the leadership of Dr. Bennyrose D. Arnecilla, RSW, Regional Officer-in-Charge, continues to strengthen clients' employability, access to education, livelihood oppotunities and contibute to the reduction of recidivism.
