3MBDE JOINS PUERTO PRINCESA INTERNATIONAL MARATHON 2026

The 3rd Marine Brigade, Philippine Marine Corps, joined the successful conduct of the Puerto Princesa International Marathon 2026 held today, 31 May 2026, at the RVM Sports Complex, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

The activity was participated in by BGEN WILFREDO B MANALANG JR PN(M), Commander, 3rd Marine Brigade, together with the personnel of the Brigade, in support of the event’s advocacy of promoting physical fitness, endurance, mental resilience, camaraderie, and unity through sports.

The Brigade’s participation also forms part of its preparation for the upcoming Philippine Marine Corps Kabayanihan Run 2026 on 30 August 2026, a meaningful activity that seeks to gather Marines, partner stakeholders, running enthusiasts, and the community in promoting fitness, patriotism, unity, and the Marine Corps’ spirit of service.

The marathon brought together elite and recreational runners, local communities, and uniformed personnel, further strengthening cooperation and shared commitment toward wellness, tourism, and community partnership.

The participation of the 3rd Marine Brigade reflects its continuing commitment to mission readiness, discipline, and service beyond combat, while supporting activities that inspire healthy living and unity among the people of Puerto Princesa City and Palawan.

3MBDE SUPPORTS BLOOD DONATION INITIATIVES IN PUERTO PRINCESA CITY

The 3rd Marine Brigade, Philippine Marine Corps, supported the blood donation initiatives conducted by partner organizations in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, in line with the Brigade’s continuing commitment to humanitarian service and community partnership.

On 30 May 2026, the Palawan Medical Mission Group Multipurpose Cooperative conducted a Mass Blood Donation Activity at Palawan Medical Plaza, while the Palawan Region 1, The Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles, Inc., in partnership with Ospital ng Palawan, also held a Blood Letting Activity at the SM City Activity Center.

Through the participation of qualified Marine personnel and volunteer donors, the activities contributed to the collective effort of ensuring the availability of safe blood supply for patients in need.

These initiatives reflect the true spirit of service beyond combat—extending compassion, hope, and support to the community through simple acts that help save lives.

The 3rd Marine Brigade remains grateful to its partners and stakeholders for their continued collaboration in promoting public welfare, unity, and service to the people of Palawan.

The PMC Kabayanihan Run 2026 is more than a marathon! It is a tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and heroism of Filipino heroes who continue to inspire the nation through service, unity, and love for country.

Proceeds of the run will support educational assistance programs, families of fallen and wounded Marines, and Marines deployed in key maritime frontiers, including the West Philippine Sea.

3rd Marine Brigade, PALAWAN - The Team Agila rendered military honors to BGEN AMADO DELA PAZ PAF, the Air Force Internal Auditor, during his retirement visit to the Headquarters 3rd Marine Brigade at Brgy. Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa City on 25 May 2026.

Prior to his designation as the Internal Auditor of the Philippine Air Force, BGEN DELA PAZ served as the Deputy Commander for Internal Defense Operations (IDO) of Western Command from February 2023 to June 2024, where he played a significant role in strengthening inter-unit coordination and operational effectiveness within the command.

The retiring General was warmly welcomed by BGEN WILFREDO B MANALANG JR PN(M) through a formal Guest Book signing ceremony, followed by a meaningful dialogue with the Brigade staff. During the engagement, BGEN DELA PAZ expressed his sincere gratitude to the Marines of Team Agila for the unwavering support, professionalism, and camaraderie extended to him throughout his stint at WESCOM.

The visit served as an opportunity to honor the distinguished service and invaluable contributions of BGEN DELA PAZ to the 3rd Marine Brigade, while reaffirming the enduring bond and mutual respect shared among the different branches of service in the pursuit of national security and peace.

PALAWAN — GEN ROMEO S BRAWNER JR PA, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, visited Pag-asa Island in the Kalayaan Island Group to assess the operational situation and ongoing developments in the country’s western frontier on 22 May 2026.

Upon arrival, the CSAFP was welcomed by the Commander of the Western Command, VADM ALAN M JAVIER PN, together with BGEN WILFREDO B MANALANG JR PN(M), Commander, 3rd Marine Brigade, being the most senior Marine commander overseeing the Philippine Marines deployed in the area, before being accorded Honors followed by a Flag Raising Ceremony attended by military and uniformed personnel, local government officials, and residents of Pag-asa Island led by Mayor Beltzasar S. Alindogan.

During the visit, the CSAFP conducted inspections and tours of key military facilities and operational posts, where ongoing infrastructure developments and operational capabilities in the island were highlighted. The visit also included operational briefings on the situation in the West Philippine Sea, observation of maritime monitoring operations, and recognition of personnel for their dedicated service.

The CSAFP likewise engaged with local residents and frontline personnel, reaffirming the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ efforts and commitment to sustaining operational readiness, strengthening troops welfare, and protecting the country’s sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea.

PALAWAN – COMMANDER, COMBAT SUPPORT BRIGADE VISITS TEAM AGILA HEADQUARTERS!

The 3rd Marine Brigade “Team Agila,” under the leadership of BGEN WILFREDO B MANALANG JR PN(M), warmly welcomed the Commander of the Combat Support Brigade, Philippine Marine Corps, BGEN ARMANDO B CUSTODIO PN(M), during his visit to the Brigade Headquarters in Brgy. Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa City on 22 May 2026.

The visit commenced with the rendering of Arrival Honors, signifying the strong camaraderie and professionalism shared between the two Marine units. During the engagement, BGEN CUSTODIO mentioned his close relationship with BGEN MANALANG, reflecting the longstanding camaraderie between the two senior Marine leaders, who both belong to the Philippine Military Academy “Bantay Laya” Class of 1994.

The activity was followed by a formal meeting attended by key staff officers and unit commanders from both the 3rd Marine Brigade and Combat Support Brigade, where both commands engaged in meaningful discussion focused on enhancing operational coordination, strengthening combat support capabilities, and improving the integration of attached units in support of 3rd Marine Brigade’s mission.

BGEN CUSTODIO also personally engaged and conducted dialogues with personnel from the different Combat Support Brigade subordinate units currently placed under the operational control (OPCON) of the 3rd Marine Brigade. The engagement enabled the Combat Support Brigade Commander to assess the morale, welfare, operational concerns, and mission readiness of his troops while reiterating his guidance, support, and leadership emphasis to the deployed personnel.

Overall, it was a meaningful visit, further strengthening unity of effort, operational synergy, and the shared commitment of both brigades in sustaining mission accomplishment and operational excellence in the whole 3rd Marine Brigade Area of Operations.
