โ THE MINDORO PAVILION IS OPEN โ
Today, we officially opened the Philippine Pavilion at the World Island Fair Yeosu Korea 2026.
For D'Aboville Foundation (DAF), it is a special moment to see over a year of work around Mindoroโs biodiversity, culture, conservation and eco-cultural tourism come together in one space.
We were honored to open the pavilion together with the Puerto Galera delegation:
โ Mayor Robinhood Ylagan
โ Public Information Officer Bernard Boy Cepillo "Nad"
โ Olivia d'Aboville Grgiฤ, CFO, DAF
โ Maรฏa d'Aboville, Executive Director of DAF and PGMBBI and curator of the Mindoro Pavilion
with our Tourism Operators: Nikka Balinton and Jamela Bual (Asia Divers)
We would like to thank the Yeosu City and the World Island Fair Yeosu Organizing Committee for inviting Mindoro to this international gathering of islands and for the warm welcome given to our delegation.
Inside the pavilion, visitors can discover Mindoro through the work of:
โ Studio Bahai Anino (Bit.ly/BahaiAnino), creator of the suspended paper manta ray
โ Henri Lamy [Art], whose paintings reflect life, people and landscapes of Puerto Galera
โ Wilfredo L. Rufon, whose work explores marine environments and the importance of protecting our seas
โ Conrad Bernardo, creator of the 3D educational map of Mindoro
The pavilion also presents Mangyan cultural heritage with the support of the Mangyan Heritage Center and Ayala Foundation, alongside environmental films, photography, children's books and educational material highlighting the ecosystems and conservation challenges of Mindoro.
We invite everyone visiting the World Island Fair to come and discover the pavilion, learn more about Mindoro, and explore the people, places and organisations working to protect and sustain its natural and cultural heritage.
