The Committee on Ways and Means, chaired by ๐’๐ ๐Œ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐„๐ซ๐ข๐œ ๐‘๐ž๐ฒ ๐†. ๐’๐ข๐จ๐ก๐š๐ง, presided over a Committee Hearing on August 18, 2026, at the SP Session Hall. Together with ๐’๐ ๐Œ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐’๐š๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ž๐ฅ ๐„. ๐“๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐„๐๐ ๐š๐ซ ๐Ž. ๐†๐š, they discussed the request from Governor Hon. Santiago B. Cane, Jr. for the passage of a resolution establishing the Assessment Calendar for the Formulation of the Schedule of Market Values (SMV) and the conduct of the ๐‚๐˜ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ• ๐†๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐‘๐ž๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‘๐ž๐š๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ญ๐ฒ ๐€๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‚๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง.

The hearing allowed the Committee and concerned offices, including Engr. Teresita B. Bongales, Asst. Department Head of the Provincial Assessors' Office, and Atty. Maiko Jay A. Among the highlights of the session were:

๐Ÿ”นProposed Ordinance under Second Reading
โ€œAn Ordinance Revising Ordinance No. 601 (Previously Ordinance No. 135, Series of 2016), Otherwise Known as the "Substance Use Recovery and Enlightenment (SURE) Program Ordinance of Agusan del Sur," Integrating the Special Drug Education Center (SDEC) into the Provincial Substance Use Prevention and Intervention Framework, and for Other Purposesโ€, was re-calendared for the next regular session. Concerned offices will be invited as resource persons.

The Sanggunian reviewed various municipal resolutions and ordinances from Trento, Prosperidad, Bunawan, Sta. Josefa, and Veruela pursuant to Section 56 of R.A. 7160 (the Local Government Code).

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan continues its commitment to better public service across Agusan del Sur. Here's the key takeaway from last Monday's session:

๐Ÿฅ Expanded Healthcare Access at DOPMH
The sanggunian approved an amended Memorandum of Agreement with Unicare Medical Clinic, designating Democrito O. Plaza Memorial Hospital (DOPMH) as its referral hospital to extend essential laboratory, maternal, and other services.

They also reviewed and validated several municipal ordinances and resolutions from the Municipalities of Loreto and Prosperidad pursuant to Section 56 of R.A. 7160 (the Local Government Code).

The august body continues to enact policies and deliver resources that directly uplift the lives of every Agsurnon.
