On October 13, 2025, following the recent EARTHQUAKE and the occurrence of several AFTERSHOCKS, Municipal Mayor JAIME MAHIMPIT ordered the suspension of classes in all schools within the Municipality of President Roxas to ensure the safety of all learners, teachers, and school personnel.
In line with this directive, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) conducted a follow-up inspection and verification at President Roxas National High School to assess the structural integrity of its buildings and to identify possible damages caused by the seismic activity.
The inspection was carried out together with the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Coordinator, Sir Jerome Altamarino, and with the full support of School Principal, Ma’am Melina Buer Lopez, and Assistant to the School Principal, Sir Khryss Vyncynt Tuario. Their cooperation ensured the smooth and safe facilitation of the inspection process.
Mayor JAIME MAHIMPIT emphasized that the welfare and safety of students and school personnel remain a top priority, especially during times of natural calamities. The LGU PRESIDENT ROXAS, through the MDRRMO, continues to implement proactive measures to strengthen disaster preparedness and community resilience.
