ATM: Open Government Week | Kabataang Bukas: Young Transparency Board and Children’s State of the Community — a meaningful gathering that empowers children and youth to become active partners in transparent, accountable, and participatory governance.

Through this activity, young leaders are given the opportunity to express their insights, concerns, aspirations, and recommendations regarding issues affecting their community. The Children’s State of the Community serves as a platform where the voices of the youth are heard, valued, and recognized in local decision-making, while the Young Transparency Board promotes awareness on honesty, responsibility, and citizen participation among the younger generation.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the local government and partner agencies in building an inclusive society where every child and young person is encouraged to participate in creating a responsive, people-centered, and better future for the community.

Present during the event were the 28 Children Representatives from the 50 barangays of Pototan, together with PNCHS SSLG President Crisnel Rose Ang, MLGOO Staff representing Sir Reno Tasiongco, LYDO Kent Roger Peñaflorida, MDRRMO Focal Person Angela Marie Cagampang, Budget Officer Reina Perez, Assessor Melinda Malaluan, HRMO Christy Mendoza, GSO Renalyn Parreño, and Children’s Focal Person Rusan Superio.

This activity highlights the importance of youth participation in governance and strengthens the partnership between the government and the younger generation in promoting transparency, accountability, and community development.
