Based on the latest weather advisory issued by PAGASA for Friday, July 10, 2026, the entire Province of Negros Occidental, including the Municipality of Pontevedra, is expected to continue experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall due to the prevailing weather disturbance.

The public is advised to remain vigilant, particularly those residing in low-lying, flood-prone, and landslide-prone areas. Please continue to monitor official weather advisories and take the necessary precautionary measures to ensure your safety and that of your family.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) remains on heightened monitoring and is closely coordinating with all Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees (BDRRMCs). Further advisories will be issued as weather conditions develop.
