MNHS Triumphs at Division's DISKARTE sa ESP Competition

Matacon National High School (MNHS) achieved significant success at the 13th Division DISKARTE sa Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao para sa Matatag na Kabataang Albayano competition held at Marcial O. Rañola Memorial School (MORMS) Guinobatan, Albay on November 21, 2024.

Grade 10 student, Erica Villanueva secured first place in Value Speech Campaign (Idea Ko, Getz mo?), guided by her coach Mary Ann P. Sandrino. Another achievers are Shekinah Bea O. Cagnayo and Alvin Villar who earned second place in Jingle Making Contest (Git-Aral) mentored by Maydoll Roquiño, Hermina Grace Reduta, and Noli Saludo.

Other MNHS students also competed, showcasing their talents across various categories.

MNHS Broadcasting Team Excels at CSPC

MNHS' Filipino Broadcasting team secured 4th place at the recent Cluster-C Schools Press Conference competition held at Oas Polytechnic School, Wednesday, November 13.

The members are as follows further highlighted by individual achievements:

MNHS Campus Journalists Secure Spot for DSPC

Matacon National High School (MNHS) campus journalists achieved significant success during the Cluster -C Schools Press Conference held on November 13, 2024,at Oas Polytechnic High School and Oas North Central School, Oas, Albay.

Several students earned top rankings in various categories, qualifying them for the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) including Kent Rhandell Rivera who won 1st place in Editorial Cartooning (Filipino category), Julliane Moico 2nd place in Column Writing (Filipino category), Ayesha General 2nd place in Photojournalism (Filipino category), Bernadette Sandrino 4th place in News Writing (English category) and Princess Coleen Baynado, 7th place in Feature writing (English category).

Additional MNHS students who won are Kyle Orcena placed 10th in Copyreading and Headline Writing (English category), and Will Anne Inocentes who also placed 10th in Photojournalism (English category).

The coaches of the said winners are Mr. Eric Sartorio for Filipino category and Mrs. Sheryl Bechachino for English category.

The MNHS community congratulates all participating students on their achievements and wishes those advancing to the DSPC the best of luck in the upcoming competition this coming December 6-8, 2024 at Camalig National High School.
