The First Phase – Second Cycle of the Food Assistance Distribution Program successfully benefited 500 indigent individuals and families from 12 barangays of the Municipality of Pinili. Each recipient received 10 kilograms of rice, providing much-needed support to households in need.

The distribution was graced by Governor Cecilia Araneta Marcos, Hon. Gian Crisostomo, Hon. Ryan John Pascua, and the Sangguniang Bayan Members of the Municipality of Pinili, led by Hon. Allen M. Bumanglag, Acting Municipal Vice Mayor.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the provincial and local governments to promote food security, uphold inclusive governance, and improve the lives of every Ilocanos.

PINALALAKAS ANG UGNAYAN NG VMLP AT DILG PARA SA MAS MAAYOS NA PAMAHALAANG LOKAL
(June 23,2026)

Sa pangunguna ni VMLP National President Vice Mayor Maynard Francis R. Bumanglag ng Pinili, Ilocos Norte, nagsagawa ng courtesy call ang Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines sa tanggapan ni Usec. Marlo L. Iringan, Undersecretary for Local Government ng DILG.

Ibinahagi ni VM Maynard ang mga matagumpay na programa at mabubuting gawain ng VMLP na maaaring maging huwaran ng iba pang mga liga ng lokal na pamahalaan. Tinalakay rin ni Usec. Iringan ang mga kasalukuyang proyekto at programa ng DILG, kabilang ang pagpapatupad ng Administrative Order No. 15, s. 2018, na nagbibigay kapangyarihan sa Kalihim ng DILG na pansamantalang magtalaga sa mga nababakanteng lokal na halal na posisyon upang matiyak ang tuloy-tuloy na serbisyo ng pamahalaan.

Binigyang-diin ni VM Maynard na tutulong at buo ang suporta ng VMLP sa mga programa ng DILG at tiniyak na mananatiling katuwang ng pamahalaan ang Liga sa pagsusulong ng mahusay, responsable, at makabagong pamamahalang lokal.

SA PAMUMUNO NI VMLP NATIONAL PRESIDENT VICE MAYOR MAYNARD R. BUMANGLAG NG PINILI, ILOCOS NORTE AT NATIONAL CHAIRMAN ANTHONY SUVA JR NG MANDALUYONG CITY, matagumpay na naisagawa ang 2nd Consultative Meeting of VMLP Provincial Presidents and Committee Chairpersons noong Hunyo 16-18, 2026 sa Diamond Residences Makati City.

Pinagsama-sama ng pagpupulong ang mga opisyal ng Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa upang talakayin ang mahahalagang usapin sa lokal na pamahalaan, palakasin ang ugnayan ng mga lider, at bumuo ng mga programa at polisiya na higit na makatutulong sa mga mamamayan.

Naging panauhing pandangal ang kaibigan ng liga na si Hon Mark O. Cojuangco na siya ding Chairman ng House Special Committee on Nuclear Energy. Kabilang sa mga naging bahagi ng programa ang mga presentasyon mula sa Office of the Executive Secretary sa pangunguna ni Undersecretary Georgina Ann Hernandez Yang, Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) sa pangunguna ni Director General Ernesto V. Perez, at ang DILG Hour kasama ang Bureau of Local Government Supervision sa pangunguna ni OIC Director Atty. Rolynne A. Javier, CESO V.

The 2nd Consultative Meeting of the Provincial Presidents and Chairpersons of the Vice Mayors' League of the Philippines, held at Makati Diamond Residences, served as a vital platform for discussing key legislative priorities, strengthening partnerships, and advancing programs that empower local government units across the country.

Adding prestige and valuable insight to the event was the presence of Hon. Mark O. Cojuangco, Representative of the 2nd District of Pangasinan and Chairperson of the Committee on Nuclear Energy, House of Representatives, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. His message underscored the importance of innovation, sustainable development, and strong local leadership in nation-building.

Proudly representing the League at the national level was our very own Municipal Vice Mayor and National President of the Vice Mayors' League of the Philippines, Hon. Maynard Francis R. Bumanglag, whose commitment to public service continues to inspire local leaders nationwide.

Under his leadership, the League remains a strong voice for responsive governance, progressive legislation, and meaningful reforms that directly benefit communities. His dedication reflects the excellence, competence, and leadership that our municipality proudly shares with the nation.
