In commemoration of the 128th National Flag Day, a Flag Raising Ceremony was conducted to honor the symbol of the nation’s freedom, unity, and patriotism. 🇵🇭

The meaningful activity was attended by the Municipal Officials of Pinili, department heads, municipal employees, uniformed personnel, and various stakeholders who came together in showing respect and pride for the Philippine Flag and the sacrifices of our heroes who fought for the country’s independence.

28 May 2026 Ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly completed Multi-Purpose Building of Brgy. Puzol

A meaningful milestone for Barangay Puzol, Pinili, Ilocos Norte as Hon. Angelo Marcos Barba led the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly completed Multi-Purpose Building.

The ₱5,000,000.00 project, funded under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) 2025, was realized through the initiative and support of Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba in line with his commitment to strengthening community development and delivering quality infrastructure projects for the people of Ilocos Norte.

Present during the activity were the Municipal Officials of Pinili headed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Rommel T. Labasan, Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Maynard Francis R. Bumanglag, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Barangay Officials of Barangay Puzol, and residents who joined in celebrating this important occasion.

The newly inaugurated Multi-Purpose Building will serve as a valuable venue for community gatherings, meetings, programs, and other activities that will benefit the residents of Barangay Puzol.

The activity “Katuwang sa Edukasyon: Tungkulin ng 4Ps Parents” highlighted the vital role of parents in supporting the education and overall development of their children. Through this meaningful initiative, parents were encouraged to become active partners in building a strong foundation for learning, discipline, and positive values at home and in school.

This activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and the Department of Education (DepEd), with the support of the Local Government Unit of Pinili headed by the Municipal Officials.

With pride and joy, we celebrate the approval on third and final reading of House Bill No. 982, declaring every August 13 as “Magdalena Gamayo Day” in honor of our beloved master weaver and living cultural treasure, 𝙉𝙖𝙣𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙙𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙖 𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙮𝙤 — proudly from the Municipality of Pinili.

This recognition is not only a tribute to her extraordinary talent and dedication to the art of Inabel weaving, but also a celebration of the rich culture, heritage, and pride of every Pinileño.

May this serve as an inspiration to preserve our traditions and continue weaving stories of excellence for generations to come.

Congratulations to everyone who made this meaningful milestone possible!

House Bill No. 982, which seeks to declare August 13 of every year a special non-working holiday in the Province of Ilocos Norte in commemoration of the birth date of master weaver and Ilocano icon Magdalena Gamayo, to be known as “Magdalena Gamayo Day,” is approved on third and final reading in the House of Representatives.

Rice distribution to identified Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) from poor households was successfully conducted as part of the continuing efforts to support vulnerable sectors in the community.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte in extending assistance and promoting the welfare of Persons with Disabilities, especially those facing economic challenges.

The activity was carried out with the support of the LGU Pinili.

19 May 2026 Municipal Social Pension Payout and Recognition of Milestones Awardees for the 1st Quarter 2026

Honoring our cherished senior citizens through the distribution of the Municipal Social Pension for the 1st Quarter of 2026 and the Recognition of Milestone Awardees aged 80, 85, and 90–99 years old.

This activity highlights the Municipality’s continued commitment in valuing and supporting the welfare of our elderly citizens whose lives and experiences remain an inspiration to the community.

The activity was conducted with the full support of the Municipal Officials headed by Municipal Mayor Rommel T. Labasan, Municipal Vice Mayor Maynard Francis R. Bumanglag, together with the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, and other Local Government Unit personnel.
