Sa kabuuan, may 162,648 na magsasaka ng palay, mais at tubo mula sa 3 distrito ng Albay ang nakatanggap na ng total na P378,156,600 cash assistance.

Imported rice price cap compliance inspection isinagawa sa Naga City

Kaugnay ng pagpapatupad ng Executive Order No. 118, s. 2026 na nagtatakda ng P50/kilo na price cap sa imported na bigas, nag-ikot sa Naga City Peoples Mall Rice Section si Department of Agriculture (DA) Bicol Regional Technical Director for Operations Dr. Mary Grace DP. Rodriguez ngayong umaga June 1, 2026.

Kasama niya ang mga kinatawan ng DA Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), City Agriculture Office (CAgo) at ang Market Enterprise and Promotions Office (MEPO) ng nasabing lungsod.

Kasabay ng pagsusuri ng mga presyo ng imported na bigas ay ang inspeksyon sa price tag na kulay asul para sa imported rice.

Sa pag-inspeksyon sa mga tindahan ng bigas sa Naga Peoples Mall, may dalawang tindahan ang nabigyan ng Notice of Violation kung saan naitala na mas mataas sa itinakdang ₱50 bawat kilo ang benta ng kanilang 5% broken imported rice. Inaasahan ang may ari ng establisyemento na magbigay ng nararapat na kasagutan kung bakit mas mataas ang kanyang benta sa itinakdang price cap.

Magpapatuloy ang on-site monitoring ng DA Bicol sa mga bigasan sa mga pampublikong pamilihan hanggang umiiral ang EO 118 na nagpapataw ng parusang pansamantala o permanenteng pagsasara ng tindahan, suspension ng lisensya, multa mula P5,000 hanggang P1 Milyon, at pagkakakulong. PILI, CAMARINES SUR - Pinangunahan ni Department of Agriculture (DA) Bicol Regional Executive Director Rodel P. Tornilla ang pag-iikot sa mga bigasan sa Pili Public Market ngayong araw bilang bahagi ng price monitoring sa pagpapatupad ng Executive Order No. 118, s. 2026 na nagtatakda ng P50 bawat kilo na price cap sa 5% broken na imported na bigas sa buong bansa.

Ayon kay Tornilla alinsunod ito sa kautusan ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. na siguruhing walang nananamantala sa presyo ng imported na bigas sa merkado ngayong panahon ng krisis.

Ani Tornilla, natuklasan nilang sumusunod naman ang mga nagtitinda ng bigas sa itinakdang price cap subalit hindi pa gumagamit ng prescribed price tag na kulay asul para sa imported rice. Dagdag pa niya, kinakailangan din na makita sa price tag ang variety ng imported rice at ang mga pinanggalingan nitong bansa. Ayon naman sa mga rice retailers ay inangkat lang nila sa Partido Rice Mill Corporation ang nasabing imported na bigas.
Pinuntahan din ng grupo ang SaveMore at LCC Mall na pawang walang tindang imported na bigas.

Kasamang nag-ikot ni Tornilla sa Pili Public Market at mga supermarkets sa bayan ng Pili sina DA Bicol Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) Chief, Engr. Luisito Baltazar at DA Bicol Price Monitoring Team pati na rin sina Acting Municipal Agriculturist Geronimo R. Ayo Jr., Price Monitoring Focal Person Carla S. Ranara, at si Bernard Estadilla ang Market Supervisor IV ng Economic Enterprise Office( EEO) ng Pili.

Sinimulang ipatupad ang price cap noong Mayo 13, 2026 na magiging epektibo sa loob ng 30 araw. Katuwang ng DA sa pagpapatupad nito ang Department of Trade and Industry, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Bureau of Customs, Philippine Competition Commission, at Philippine National Police.

Sa ilalim ng Republic Act 7581 o Price Act, maaaring patawan ng criminal o administratibong parusa ang mga lalabag sa price cap sa imported rice. (Annielyn L. Baleza, DA RAFIS 5)
