Maaaring dumami ang mga lamok na nagdadala ng dengue dahil sa mga naipong tubig sa paligid ng bahay at komunidad.

Kaya naman, mahalagang regular na linisin ang mga lugar at lalagyang maaaring pamugaran o pangitlugan ng lamok upang makatulong sa pag-iwas sa dengue.

Ugaliing isabuhay ang 4Ts:

✅ Taob
✅ Taktak
✅ Tuyo at
✅ Takip

Upang maiwasan ang pagdami ng lamok at mga posibleng pamugaran nito.

Sa sama-samang pagkilos, makatutulong tayo na mabawasan ang panganib ng dengue at maprotektahan ang ating pamilya at komunidad.

🦟 Karaniwang nangingitlog ang mga lamok sa mga naiiwan at naiipong tubig sa mga nakatiwangwang na lalagyan, kaya mahalagang regular na suriin ang ating paligid.

🦟 Huwag hayaang maging pamugaran ng lamok ang ating tahanan. Ugaliing tingnan, linisin, at ayusin ang mga lalagyan at lugar na maaaring kapitan o maipunan ng tubig.

🦟 Panatilihing nakataob ang mga lalagyang hindi ginagamit at tiyaking walang naiiwang tubig na maaaring pamugaran ng lamok.

Maliit na gawain, malaking proteksyon. Sa simpleng paglilinis at pag-aalis ng mga posibleng pamugaran ng lamok, nakatutulong tayo sa pag-iwas sa dengue.

Yesterday, September 4, 2026, a joint meeting was convened by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) Health Cluster and local government units to monitor and address the air quality situation in Camarines Sur.

During the meeting, representatives from the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) and the Department of Health (DOH) Region 5 provided comprehensive updates on the haze forecast and detailed potential health risks associated with prolonged particulate exposure, especially for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and individuals with existing respiratory conditions.

In response, the Provincial Health Office outlined its preventive measures and emergency response framework. To ensure continuous readiness across the healthcare system and anticipate any surge in respiratory illnesses, a Code White Alert status was declared for all provincially-managed hospitals and rural health units.

Public health advisories and informational campaigns are also being actively rolled out to educate the community on self-protection strategies.

To minimize direct exposure, the PDRRMC strongly advised member agencies—specifically the Department of Education and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Council—to suspend or limit outdoor gatherings and reschedule upcoming large-scale events.

Furthermore, MDRRMOs and RHUs were directed to submit an immediate inventory of essential medical resources, including face masks, medicines, and other relevant supplies, to the PDRRMC to guarantee coordinated assistance and resource allocation.

In line with the National Family Planning Month, the City Government of Iriga, through its City Health Office (CHO), in partnership with the Department of Health Bicol - Center for Health Development, the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, through the Provincial Health Office Cam Sur, and other partner agencies, conducted the Family Planning Caravan on August 28, 2026, at Iriga City Sports Center. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒💉🧑‍🍼

Under the theme "Panalo ang Pamilyang Planado! Tara, Usap Tayo sa Family Planning," the event benefited hundreds of Irigueños, especially women of reproductive age (15–49 years old) and their partners.

Part of the program was a series of lectures on family planning, including updates on Family Planning Methods, Real-Life Testimonial of a Family Planning Advocate Couple, and The Role of Family Planning in Building Stronger Communities.

Here are the lists of services offered during the activity:
- Condom Distribution
- Oral Contraceptive Pills
- Injectable Contraceptive (DMPA)
- Intrauterine (IUD) Insertion
- Referral for Bilateral Tubal Ligation and No-Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV)
- Family Planning Counseling
- HIV Screening
- PhilHealth YAKAP queries

According to Nurse April Kristine Turiano, Family Planning Coordinator of CHO Iriga, family planning is very important, especially for couples who need guidance in planning for their children. It helps couples determine the number of children they want and ensures proper spacing between pregnancies.

Janen Marmol, 33, a resident of San Isidro, Iriga City, attended the caravan to have her existing contraceptive implant removed and replaced. A mother of four, she shared that she prefers the implant because it is convenient, lasts for up to three years, and is well-suited to her body. Marmol shared that this was already her third time having the implant inserted.

For her, family planning is especially important for families facing financial challenges. "Thankful [ako] kasi sa hirap ng buhay ngayon, lalo na 'pag katulad namin na naka-implant. Alam ko po kasing pricey. Nagpapasalamat po kami sa Family Planning Caravan, tapos libre na po siya, 'yung sa mga vitamins pa—lahat."

PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT RESPONSE TO AIR QUALITY SITUATION

The PDRRMC advises the public to observe appropriate precautionary measures in view of elevated PM2.5 levels and haze. All concerned LGUs are likewise encouraged to continuously monitor the situation and undertake appropriate measures within their respective areas of responsibility.

Kabali sa mga na-avail ninda an mga minasunod: libreng medical, dental, asin eye check-up, tooth extraction, X-ray, urinalysis, CBC, asin libreng eyeglasses. Apwera pa kaini, libre man sindang nakapagpuli nin mga bulong asin vitamins. 🩺💊

"Itong program na ito ay dapat ituloy-tuloy po ito kasi malaking tulong po ito sa mga kababayan natin, especially in CamSur. Not only in the barangays, but also sa mga schools." ❤️💊🩺

Ang pahayag na ito ay galing kay Ma'am Fe F. Peralta, Principal III, ng Ocampo National High School, nang pumunta ang Gobyerno Probinsyal sa kanilang paaralan dala ang medical mission team ng Provincial Health Office Cam Sur. Aniya, napakalaking tulong nito sa mga g**o at mag-aaral dahil bukod sa libreng konsultasyon, libre rin umano ang mga gamot at iba pang mga serbisyo gaya ng laboratory tests at X-ray.

Ang Gobyerno Probinsyal ay patuloy pong isusulong ang pagkakaroon ng medical missions sa bawat paaralan upang mailapit ang mga libreng serbisyong medikal na kailangan nila. Makakatulong ito para malaman din ang mga health issues ng kabataan at matugunan ang mga ito nang maaga.
