Observance of the 30th Girl Child Week 2026: "Katawan Ko, Karapatan Ko"

Pilar Municipal Police Station proudly join the observance of the 30th Girl Child Week on March 22-28, 2026.

This annual celebration, pursuant to Proclamation No. 759, Series of 1996, highlights the importance of protecting and promoting the rights of every girl child. Spearheaded by the Council for the Welfare of Children in partnership with various government agencies and stakeholders, this observance also complements the celebration of National Women's Month.
With this year's theme, "Katawan Ko, Karapatan Ko:
Edukasyon Tungo sa Malaya at Ligtas na Pagpapasya," we emphasize the vital role of education in empowering young girls equipping them with knowledge, access to accurate information, and the confidence to make safe and informed decisions about their bodies, relationships, and future.

Together, let us continue to advocate for the protection, empowerment, and gender-fair treatment of every girl child.

join us in celebrating the SAFER INTERNET DAY (SID) this coming February 11, 2025!

SID is a global event celebrated annually to promote safer and more responsible internet use for everyone, with special focus on protecting children online. Since its launch in 2004, it has spread to over 100 countries, raising awareness about online safety issues. In the Philippines, SID is officially recognized through Proclamation No. 417, declaring every second Tuesday of February as Safer Internet Day for Filipino Children.

This year’s theme, “Digital Bayanihan, Para as Kabataang Ligtas at Protektado Online,” emphasizes the importance of a whole-of-nation approach in creating a safer digital space for children.

Let’s come together to promote online safety by encouraging responsible internet use and addressing the challenges and opportunities of the digital world for Filipino children. At the heart of this celebration are the voices of the youth, who play a crucial role in creating a safer, more secure digital environment for all. Their call to action aims to inspire bayanihan among government actors, civil society organizations, and the private sector.
