Buhaynasapa Integrated National High School (BINHS) Continues to Empower Learners Through the Ongoing ALS Senior High School Program
DepEd Buhaynasapa INHS - Batangas continues to expand educational opportunities through its ongoing Alternative Learning System (ALS) Senior High School Program, providing a flexible and inclusive pathway for learners who aspire to complete their senior high school education.
The implementation of the ALS Senior High School Program in the school was initiated through the support and leadership of Dr. Sarah S. Saguin, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) of the San Juan West Sub-Office. This initiative seeks to reach out to out-of-school youth and adult learners, enabling them to pursue and complete their educational goals despite various challenges and circumstances.
At present, the program remains actively ongoing, with learners participating in meaningful learning sessions designed to equip them with essential knowledge, life skills, and competencies necessary for lifelong learning and future opportunities.
The offering of the ALS Senior High School Program is one of the ongoing Projects, Programs, and Activities (PPAs) of BINHS under the ACCESS component, which is Project ENGAGE: “Enhancing Need-based Guidance, Access, Growth, and Engagement for Sapeñan Learners.” The project envisions promoting equitable access to quality education by enhancing inclusive programs, targeted opportunities, and responsive support systems for students at risk of academic failure, differently abled learners, and those in disadvantaged situations.
Through Project ENGAGE, the school aims to deliver individualized counseling and referral services that address learners' academic, social, and emotional needs; establish and promote accessible academic support programs that remove barriers to learning and prepare students for key grade transitions; and foster active collaboration among teachers, parents, and community volunteers. The ongoing ALS Senior High School Program embodies these goals by ensuring that every learner is given a second chance and an opportunity to succeed.
Buhaynasapa Integrated National High School warmly encourages out-of-school youth and adults who wish to complete their Senior High School education to take advantage of this opportunity and become part of the ALS community. SUB-OFFICE COMPARATIVE ASSESSMENT FOR TEACHER II AND TEACHER III APPLICANTS | S.Y. 2026–2027

In consonance with DepEd Order No. 020, s. 2024 and DepEd Order No. 19, s. 2025, the San Juan West Sub-Office successfully conducted the Sub-Office Comparative Assessment for Teacher II and Teacher III applicants from the secondary schools on June 16, 2026.

The assessment was held respectively at Palahanan Integrated National High School, Sico 1.0 Integrated National High School, and Don Leon Mercado Sr. MNHS, facilitated by the District Sub-Committee Members from Secondary Schools.

The activity aimed to ensure a merit-based, objective, uniform, and equitable evaluation process for qualified applicants, in adherence to the principles of merit and fitness and the Equal Employment Opportunity Principle. Classroom Observable Indicators were conducted during actual classes, while Non-Classroom Observable Indicators were assessed after class hours.

This activity reflects the continued commitment of the San Juan West Sub-Office to uphold fairness, transparency, and excellence in the recruitment and selection of higher teaching positions.

SAN JUAN WEST SUB-OFFICE | DIVISION TRAINING OF SCHOOL PAPER ADVISERS ON CURRENT TRENDS IN CAMPUS JOURNALISM

"Empowered Press Advisers: Leading the Way in Campus Journalism Excellence"

DepEd San Juan West Sub-Office Secondary School Paper Advisers participated in the Three-Day Training on Emerging Trends in Campus Journalism, held on May 20–22, 2026 at Balayan National High School, Balayan, Batangas.

This professional development initiative gathered nine dedicated secondary school paper advisers from the San Juan West Sub-office, representing Sico 1.0 Integrated National High School, Palahanan Integrated National High School, Libato National High School, Pulangbato National High School, Don Leon Mercado Sr. Memorial National High School, Pacita Ramos Mendoza Memorial National High School, Angeles Luistro Integrated Senior High School, Sampiro Integrated Senior High School, and Buhaynasapa Integrated National High School.

The activity was designed to strengthen the competence of campus journalism mentors, enhancing their proficiency in Science and Technology Writing, Sports Writing, Layout and Page Design, and publication management. These sessions were crafted to equip advisers with updated knowledge and innovative strategies, ensuring their readiness to guide student journalists in school-based and division-level journalism endeavors.

Through this activity, the San Juan West Sub-office reaffirms its commitment to producing empowered, skilled, and well-prepared campus press advisers—capable of nurturing responsible, creative, and competent student writers and broadcasters.

JUST IN | Region IV-A CALABARZON Virtual Orientation on Learning Systems Reform Policies

San Juan West Sub-Office participated in the Regional Virtual Orientation on Learning Systems Reform Policies conducted at Buhaynasapa Integrated National High School on May 14, 2026. Aligned with the region’s commitment to quality education, this activity focused on policy reforms to enhance teaching and learning, with emphasis on the Three-Term Calendar for this coming S.Y. 2026-2027 and Strengthened Senior High School.

Led by Public Schools District Supervisor, Mrs. Sarah Saguin, the orientation was attended by elementary and secondary teachers and school heads of San Juan West. The activity was monitored by the Education Program Supervisor – Filipino, Dr. Loreta V. Ilao.

This endeavor ensures that all educators are well-equipped and aligned with regional directions, fostering continuous improvement and delivering excellent service for the benefit of our learners.

JUST IN | 13th Management Committee Meeting

Leading effectively requires understanding context, while serving meaningfully demands a clear purpose. Guided by this principle, the DepEd Tayo San Juan West School Heads, led by Public Schools District Supervisor, Mrs. Sarah Saguin, attended the 13th Division Management Committee Meeting, with the theme: “Leading with Context; Serving with Purpose”. It was held at NDN Resort and Events Place, Brgy. Aya, Talisay, Batangas on May 13, 2026.

The meeting was headed by Schools Division Superintendent, Marites A. Ibañez, CESO V, who inspired the school leaders to lead with purpose. All Elementary and Secondary School Heads from Congressional Districts 2 and 4 gathered to collaborate, strategize, and move forward as one unified team dedicated to excellence and meaningful service.

The DepEd Tayo San Juan West conducted the Sub-Office Monitoring, Evaluation, and Plan Adjustments (Sub-MEPA) for the 2nd Quarter of Fiscal Year 2026 on April 27, 2026. It was headed by the PSDS, Ma'am Sarah Saguin.

This activity aimed to ensure the efficient delivery of basic education services, effective implementation of programs, and continuous improvement of organizational performance across all levels.

Mainit na binabati ang Don Leon Mercado Sr. Memorial National High School sa kahanga-hangang tagumpay ni Chingyi Z. Chen sa 2026 RFOT – Lingo Stars Quest SPFL (Chinese Mandarin), kung saan ay nakamit niya ang 3rd Place!

Taos-puso rin ang pasasalamat sa mahusay na paggabay ng kanyang coach Ma'am K.C-Lyn V. Indicio at sa walang sawang suporta ni Mam Liberty V. Lugatoc (OIC). Ang inyong dedikasyon at pagtutulungan ay nagbunga ng makabuluhang tagumpay para sa paaralan at sa San Juan West Sub-Office.
