The Peñablanca U18 Men’s Volleyball Team is all set to showcase the skill, heart, and pride of a true Peñablancano as they compete in the PNVF U18 North Luzon Championships starting tomorrow, April 21, 2026 in Baguio City.

Carrying the momentum from their impressive silver medal finish in the regional leg, the team is determined to elevate their performance and represent not only Peñablanca but the entire Region II with excellence. Guided by disciplined training, teamwork, and unwavering support from the community, these young athletes are ready to rise to the challenge and make their mark on the North Luzon stage.

LGU Peñablanca Implements Special Work Arrangements for Holy Week 2026

The Local Government Unit of Peñablanca announces the implementation of special work arrangements in all LGU offices on 01 April 2026 (Wednesday), in line with Memorandum Circular No. 116 issued by the Office of the President through Malacañang, to allow government employees ample time to observe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday (02–03 April 2026).

Accordingly, the following work arrangements shall be observed in all offices under LGU Peñablanca:

1. Work-from-home (WFH) from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN, subject to existing policies, rules, and regulations; and
2. Suspension of work starting 12:00 NN onwards.

Notwithstanding the above, offices and personnel directly involved in the delivery of basic services, health services, disaster risk reduction and management, peace and order, and other essential services are directed to continue operations to ensure that public services remain unhampered.

All department heads are hereby instructed to adopt necessary measures to maintain continuity of essential services.

The LGU Peñablanca enjoins all residents to observe the Holy Week solemnly and safely.

Moving Up Ceremony ng mga Bata sa Central Area, Idinaos sa Peñablanca Gymnasium

Idinaos noong Marso 27, 2026 sa Peñablanca Gymnasium ang Moving Up Ceremony ng mga bata mula sa iba’t ibang Child Development Centers sa Central Area, bilang pagpupugay sa kanilang pagsisikap at tagumpay sa unang yugto ng kanilang pagkatuto.

“Binabati ko kayo, mahal naming mga bata! Patuloy na mangarap ng mataas, matuto nang higit pa, at palaging gawin ang iyong makakaya. Ipinagmamalaki namin kayo, at inaasahan naming makita ang lahat ng iyong makakamit sa mga darating na taon,” pahayag ni Hon. Marilyn Julia Taguinod sa kanyang mensahe.

Ngayong taon, umabot sa kabuuang 78 bata ang nagtapos sa Pre-Kindergarten I habang 136 naman ang matagumpay na nakapagtapos ng Pre-Kindergarten II sa Southern Area.

Kinilala rin ni Mayor Marilyn ang matagumpay na pagsasagawa ng mga moving up ceremonies sa buong bayan ng Peñablanca. Sa loob ng ilang araw na programa, kanyang pinuri ang tiyaga at husay ng mga empleyado ng Local Government Unit, lalo na ang mga kawani ng MSWDO, partikular ang mga Child Development Workers, gayundin ang mga nag-ayos ng mga dekorasyon na pinangunahan ni Mr. Roy Dela Cuesta.

Moving Up Ceremony ng mga Bata sa Callao Area, Naguilattan at Sitio Bayan ng Lapi, Idinaos sa Quibal Gymnasium

Idinaos ngayong araw - March 26, 2026 sa Quibal Gymnasium ang Moving Up Ceremony ng mga bata mula sa iba’t ibang Child Development Centers sa Callao Area, Naguilattan, at Sitio Bayan ng Lapi, bilang pagkilala sa kanilang matagumpay na pag-abot sa susunod na antas ng kanilang pagkatuto.

“Natutunan ninyo ang mga titik at numero, kung paano magbahagi sa inyong mga kaklase, kung paano makinig, at kung paano ipahayag ang inyong sarili. Ang mga ito ay maaaring mukhang maliit na bagay, ngunit ito ay napakahalagang mga hakbang patungo sa isang maunlad na kinabukasan,” pahayag ni Hon. Marilyn Julia Taguinod sa kanyang mensahe.

Ngayong taon, umabot sa kabuuang 42 bata ang nagtapos sa Pre-Kindergarten I habang 198 naman ang matagumpay na nakapagtapos ng Pre-Kindergarten II sa Southern Area.

Binigyang diin din ni Mayor Taguinod na ang pagtitipon na ito ay hindi lamang para kilalanin ang pagtatapos ng mga bata kundi upang ipagdiwang din ang kanilang paglaki at ang mga tagumpay na kanilang nakamit bilang mga batang mag-aaral sa Child Development Centers.
