Our designated CSO Desk Officer, Christian M. Rojo, Zoning Officer III, has successfully completed the Training of Trainers (TOT) on CSO Capacity Development Regional Level in Municipality of Liloy, led by DILG Region IX.

​A few of the distinguished resource persons included Ms. Febie Marquez (DMO III), Mr. Jeofrey A. Gumison (Agri-Aqua Development Coalition), and Mr. Jas Desierto.

​This can bring advanced capacity-building knowledge directly back to strengthen our local CSOs and Local People's Council.

Our CSO Desk Officer is representing the Municipality of Payao in a 3-day Refresher Course for Civil Society Organization (CSO) Desk Officers, facilitated by DILG Region IX and hosted in the Municipality of Liloy.

This important training aims to enhance the knowledge, skills, and coordination efforts of CSO Desk Officers in strengthening partnerships between local government units and civil society organizations. It emphasizes participatory governance, transparency, and collaborative development planning.

Through this refresher course, Payao reaffirms its commitment to inclusive governance and meaningful CSO engagement for sustainable and community-driven development.

📍2025 CONFERENCE, CIVIL SOCIETY ASSOCIATION

August 1, 2025-The Local Government Unit of Payao, in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), successfully conducted the Civil Society Organization (CSO) Conference held at the Municipal Rooftop, Poblacion, Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay on .

The event was highlighted by the presence of DILG Provincial Director Oliver B. Ombos, who expressed his full support in strengthening the partnership between CSOs and the LGU. Also in attendance were Vice Mayor Joeper H. Mendoza, MLGOO Rodrigo Ararao, LGOO II Queenie Ann Sabanal, Christian M. Rojo (Zoning Officer III / CSO Desk Officer), and SB Secretary Webster Bongcawel—each contributing to the success of the activity and the continuous promotion of participatory and inclusive local governance.

Together, let us strengthen people’s participation and build a more responsive, transparent, and empowered Payao!
