On September 8, 2026, the PMOC Team conducted a Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC) session for three (3) would-be couples at the Multi-Purpose Counseling and Family Development Center.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Lalaine Kay E. Decado (Population Office), and Ms. Eugenia Sinco (MHO).

Through PMOC, couples are given the opportunity to learn, prepare, and build a stronger foundation for married life toward stronger families and resilient communities.

On September 4, 2026, Ms. Lalaine Kay E. Decado, PPO I, together with the Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPOs), officially turned over the eighteen (18) Barangay Profiles to the respective Barangay Captains who were present during the Liga Meeting led by Liga President, Hon. Ludovico S. Alfaro.

The BSPOs then held their regular monthly meeting to discuss program updates, accomplishments, concerns, and upcoming activities.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to coordinate, share updates, and strengthen the delivery of population and development services in the barangays.

On September 3, 2026, Ms. Lalaine Kay E. Decado of the Iloilo Provincial Population Office, Municipality of Pavia, was invited as a guest host for the topic โ€œThe Child in Usโ€ on Letโ€™s Pray Pilipinas.

The invitation coincided with the celebration of the 2026 Provincial Teen Center Day, making the opportunity even more meaningful as she shared and promoted the Teen Center, along with the various programs and activities of the Office of the Provincial Population Officer, under the leadership of Atty. Ruel Von D. Superio.

It was a meaningful opportunity to remind us that our youth today need to be heard, valued, and supported. Creating safe and nurturing spaces can help young people grow with confidence, purpose, and hope.

A meaningful day of learning, sharing, and strengthening our commitment to create safe spaces where young people can be heard, supported, and empowered.

The Local Government Unit of Pavia, under the leadership of Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta, conducted the Population and Development (POPDEV) Integration Planning Workshop on August 26โ€“27, 2026, at the Executive Hall of the Municipal Building, Pavia, Iloilo.

The two-day workshop focused on strengthening teamwork and collaboration among Barangay Development Council (BDC) members in the formulation of their Barangay Development Plans (BDPs), particularly through the integration of population and development concerns into local planning.

The activity was facilitated by the Population Program Officers of the Office of the Provincial Population Officerโ€“Second District, with Ms. Janel Tejida-Alegata of the Field Operations Division, POPDEV Integration Focal, and the active participation of BDC members and representatives from Barangays Mali-ao and Pandac.

Special thanks to Ms. Ma. Socorro Joy D. Garcia, MLGOO-DILG Pavia, for sharing her insights on the Barangay Development Council (BDC) and its role in local development planning.

The workshop was coordinated through Ms. Lalaine Kay E. Decado, Population Program Officer I, assigned to the Municipality of Pavia.

This initiative highlights the LGU Paviaโ€™s continuing commitment to participatory, responsive, and people-centered development planning for a better Pavianhon community.

Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP) Lecture for 4Ps Parents

On August 13, 2026, the Iloilo Provincial Population Office โ€“ Municipality of Pavia conducted an RPFP lecture for 4Ps parents.

Grateful to Ms. Ronelyn C. Necesito, Project Development Officer II and 4Ps Team Leader, for the collaborative effort in making this activity possible. We also thank Mr. Barry Basiya, PPO I of Leganes; Ms. Rhea Selose; Mr. Warner Flores; and Ms. Amy Projillo, Population Office Staff, for their kind assistance and support.
