Young Leaders Bootcamp is far more than a conventional leadership training where participants simply sit, listen, and absorb information throughout the program. It is an immersive leadership experience designed to challenge, inspire, and transform young leaders through dynamic learning, interactive sessions, team-building activities, and hands-on leadership opportunities.

The camp serves as a training ground where participants discover the true essence and beauty of servant leadership. Through carefully designed activities and meaningful discussions, young leaders are encouraged to step beyond their comfort zones, develop critical leadership skills, and cultivate values-centered leadership that places service above self.

Each topic and session are intentionally selected to address the evolving needs and realities faced by today's young leaders. From personal growth and character formation to community engagement and collaborative leadership, every component of the camp is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to become effective agents of positive change.

Beyond the learning sessions, the Young Leaders Bootcamp provides a unique platform for participants from different schools and communities to connect, build friendships, exchange ideas, and foster a spirit of collaboration. It creates an environment where young leaders learn not only from speakers and facilitators but also from one another's experiences and perspectives.

Perhaps the most crucial and exciting aspect of the camp is answering the question: Who will lead? Since every participant enters the camp as a recognized leader in their respective schools and organizations, leadership positions are not automatically assigned. Instead, participants are challenged to demonstrate their character, competence, teamwork, and commitment to service. Through this process, they learn that true leadership is not about titles or authority, but about influence, responsibility, and the willingness to serve others.

In the Young Leaders Bootcamp, leadership is not merely taught, it is lived, experienced, and entrusted to those who embody the values of servant leadership.

The Local Youth Development Office of Patnongon proudly continues its commitment to youth empowerment through one of its flagship programs, the Young Leaders Bootcamp: Ang Pagbutlak — a localized version of the renowned Youthlead Philippines, Inc. Trail Camp conducted annually in Cebu City.

This year, we carry forward the spirit of transformational leadership through the Young Leaders Bootcamp: Ang Pagpadayon. We are honored and delighted to have several Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons from the Municipality, who participated in this year’s Trail Camp, now returning to serve as Camp Mentors for the next generation of young leaders. Their willingness to give back reflects the true essence of servant leadership and youth empowerment.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Youthlead Philippines, Inc., headed by its Founder and Chairperson Methodio “Kuya John” B. Maraguinot Jr., together with the YLP Central Council, for allowing us to replicate and contextualize the Trail Camp experience in the Municipality of Patnongon. Your unwavering support continues to inspire and empower young leaders to become catalysts of positive change in their communities.
