To our valued Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs):

Your Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (INEC) informs the public of a scheduled power interruption on June 27, 2026 (Saturday).

This interruption is requested by Northwind Power Development Corporation (NPDC) to facilitate the correction and replacement of a leaning transmission pole along the 69kV line and to conduct necessary maintenance activities to ensure the continued reliability and safety of the transmission system following a contractor-related incident.

Time: 5:30 AM – 12:00 PM (6 hours and 30 minutes)

Affected areas are as follows:

📍 Whole area: Bacarra, Pasuquin, Burgos, Dumalneg, Bangui, Pagudpud, and Adams
📍 Laoag City: Brgy. Barit, Pila, Vira, and some parts of Brgy. Salet and Bulangon
📍 Vintar: Whole area except Pallas Valley

Your INEC will closely monitor the activities of NPDC to ensure the timely restoration of power. For safety, please consider all lines as energized at all times.

We are pleased to inform everyone that the SK of Poblacion 2 will conduct a summer reading program titled “Read to Lead; A literacy support program for the young.” This program is primarily inspired and adopted from the initiatives of Poblacion 3, but ultimately from the innate goal of strengthening the youth in their reading and literacy as we recognize them to be a vital part of our community and our future.

This program is a community-based literacy initiative designed to support young people, pupils, and students who struggle with reading and comprehension. Through guided reading sessions, mentoring, and engaging learning activities, it aims to improve their reading skills, boost confidence, and develop a deeper understanding of texts. By providing a supportive and encouraging environment, the program seeks to empower learners and help them succeed academically and in everyday life.

We are then simultaneously calling for volunteer teachers/mentors and announcing the registration of prospective students residing at Poblacion 2 aged five (5) years old and up to join the said program.
