🌟📢 Responsableng Gobyerno: Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (RG: TraNK) 2026 🌟

The Local Government Unit of Miagao, through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO), successfully conducted the Employment Coaching Activity entitled RG: TraNK 2026 last June 2, 2026 at the Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT‑U) – Miagao Campus Covered Court, Brgy. Igtuba, Miagao, Iloilo.

This initiative supports the current administration’s priority focus on Livelihood, Labor, and Employment, aiming to expand job opportunities, enhance workforce competencies, and strengthen networks for career exploration and professional growth.

Resource persons from DOLE, DTI, and DICT shared valuable insights during the program. Representing DICT was Gariel M. Legislador, Provincial Officer of the Iloilo Provincial Field Office, who delivered a talk on “Bridging the Skills Gap: Preparing Workers for an AI‑Driven Economy.”

Such collaborative efforts highlight the importance of empowering communities with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to thrive in today’s evolving economy. 🌍✨

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), through its ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB) and Cybersecurity initiatives, successfully conducted the training on “𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗦𝗠𝗘𝘀” on June 2, 2026 at the Tourism Office in Concepcion, Iloilo.

The activity engaged local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly street food vendors, in a combined lecture and workshop designed to enhance their digital and cybersecurity capabilities. Topics included introduction to digital marketing, cybersafety and cyber hygiene for MSMEs, basic mobile phone photography techniques, writing effective captions, introduction to Facebook Reels, and basic editing using CapCut, as well as a hands-on menu board creation workshop using Canva.

Participants actively applied their learnings by creating their own menu boards and generating printed GCash QR codes to support digital transactions. Beyond content creation, the training emphasized the importance of safeguarding their businesses amid the increasing use of digital tools, enabling participants to better understand both opportunities and risks in the digital space.

This initiative forms part of DICT’s continuing efforts to empower local enterprises through digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness, and also contributes to the broader celebration of National ICT Month by promoting inclusive digital transformation at the grassroots level.

The DICT extends its appreciation to the Local Government Unit of Concepcion, Iloilo for its support and partnership in the successful conduct of this activity.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), through its ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB), successfully conducted a two-day training entitled “𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁: 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀” on May 25–26, 2026 at the DICT Region VI Digital Transformation Center.

The activity was participated in by 40 personnel from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region VI, aimed at enhancing their presentation and visual communication skills. The training covered the effective use of digital tools such as Canva and Microsoft PowerPoint, focusing on design principles, layout techniques, and strategies for audience engagement.

Through the guidance of DICT Resource Person, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗠. 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, participants engaged in hands-on workshops where they developed their own presentation materials aligned with demonstrated best practices. They also enhanced visual content, including posters, using Canva based on the techniques and recommendations shared during the sessions.

This initiative reinforces DICT’s commitment to empowering government workforce with essential digital competencies, enabling them to communicate information more effectively and deliver impactful presentations in their respective roles.

The DICT extends its appreciation to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region VI for its continued collaboration and commitment to capacity-building initiatives.

Through this capability-building extension program spearheaded by the College of Computer Studies – ISUFST San Enrique Campus, students were able to enhance their research, innovation, and technological skills through hands-on and research-oriented IoT with AI integration training.
