The DAP, through its Modernizing Government Regulations Program (MGRP), will be conducting the third and last round of public consultations on the 2023 Regulatory Review on 5 December (Tuesday), 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM, via Face-to-Face and Zoom teleconferencing platforms. The Public Forum aims to present and validate the findings and recommendations of the regulatory reviews conducted, as well as solicit further comments and suggestions from the stakeholders for consideration in the finalization of the written reports on the five sectors and industries covered by the 2023 Regulatory Review.

The DAP, through its Modernizing Government Regulations (MGR) Program, will be conducting a Public Consultation on the 2023 Regulatory Review on 13 November (Monday), 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM via Zoom teleconferencing. The public consultation aims to present the research findings of the DAP study teams following the second round of dialogues conducted with the stakeholders of the five sectors and industries covered by this year’s Regulatory Review.

The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through its Productivity and Development Center (PDC), and the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) trained participants from APO- member economies on Design and Evaluation of Innovation Policies at the Citadines Millennium Hotel, Pasig City from October 23-27, 2023.

The 25 delegates from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Türkiye, and Vietnam engaged in a five-day training to enhance their competencies in designing and evaluating innovation policies.

[12th Advanced Course on RIA for Priority Agencies of the Anti-Red Tape Authority]

Congratulations to the 35 participants from the Professional Regulation Commission, National Irrigation Administration, National Economic and Development Authority - Region X, DOJ - Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution, DOH - Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau, DOF - Bureau of the Treasury, and the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan who completed the DAP Modernizing Government Regulations Program’s Advanced Course on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) conducted on 4-6 and 11-13 July 2023 via Zoom Teleconferencing.

Through ARTA’s initiative in providing capability development activities for priority agencies, the selected participants successfully performed detailed RIA by using various analytical methods, and were able to develop Regulatory Impact Statement or RIS for their identified regulations.

[17th Basic Course on RIA for Priority Agencies of the Anti-Red Tape Authority]

Congratulations to the 31 participants from the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), DA - Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE), DA - National To***co Administration (DA-NTA), DENR - Land Management Bureau (DENR-LMB), Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL), Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA), and the Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC) who completed the Basic Course on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) conducted on 26-27 and 29-30 June 2023 via Zoom Teleconferencing.

Through ARTA’s initiative in providing capability development activities for priority agencies, the selected participants were able to recognize the importance of RIA in assessing present and in developing new regulations, determine the roles and responsibilities of regulators in conducting RIA, and identify the processes in conducting RIA. These participants are expected to undergo the Advanced Course on RIA before their presentation of the final Regulatory Impact Statement.
