The Unified Legal Aid Service (ULAS) Office has issued ULAS Advisory No. 5, S. 2026 on the extension of the deadlines for availing of the early compliance incentive and remittance of financial contribution under Section 1, Rule 11 of the ULAS Rules Manual.
In view of the ongoing development of Phase 2 of the ULAS Portal, Covered Lawyers and Registered Organizations who completed at least 40% of the required minimum hours of pro bono legal aid service within the prescribed period may still avail of the early compliance incentive.
Availing this incentive, logging of service hours, submission of the Compliance Report, and remittance of financial contribution to the ULAS Fund should be completed within sixty (60) working days from the official roll-out of Phase 2 of the ULAS Portal.
This extension applies only to the first Compliance Period.
