The Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) successfully concluded its participation in the 2026 Kalayaan Government Services and Programs (GPS) Caravan on 07 June 2026, marking the final day of the two-day event held in celebration of the 128th Anniversary of Philippine Independence.
To maintain strong public engagement recorded during the opening day, the PVAO booth continued to welcome a diverse range of visitors, including students, public servants, senior citizens, and families. Participants took part in interactive activities and were given the opportunity to win complimentary publications on Philippine military history authored by respected military historians, further promoting awareness and appreciation of the country's rich military heritage.
Throughout the event, PVAO personnel also accommodated inquiries from veterans, beneficiaries, and members of the public regarding the agency's programs, services, and benefits. The booth served as an accessible venue for information dissemination while reinforcing PVAO's commitment to bringing government services closer to its stakeholders.
Other participating government agencies likewise continued to deliver frontline services and conduct public information activities, ensuring that visitors were able to access a wide range of government programs in one convenient location.
The Kalayaan Government Services and Programs Caravan is an annual initiative of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) held as part of the country's Independence Day celebration. The activity aims to make government services more accessible to the public while promoting programs and initiatives that contribute to the welfare and development of the Filipino people.
