The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, alongside DOT Region 4B, successfully wrapped up its CSR initiative, SUSTAINABILISEA Phase 2 in Palawan. Joined by 22 TPB Members and partners Save Palawan Seas Foundation (SPSF) and Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA), the volunteers brought school supplies, classroom repair materials, solar lights and community essentials to Sitio Calabugtong, as well as operational gear for the Dewil Mangrove Cooperative and El Nido Tour Guides Association. To support local food security and environmental protection, participants also engaged in banana planting in Sitio Calabugtong and mangrove planting in Dewil Mangrove River.

Beyond community work, members explored Palawan’s destination offerings through site inspections and island-hopping tour, followed by a networking session and a voluntourism mentorship talk led by PHILTOA President and TPB Member Ms. Maria Lourdes Japson. Concluding with a courtesy visit to El Nido Mayor Edna Gacot-Lim, the program aims to empower operators to craft voluntourism packages that seamlessly blend leisure with meaningful volunteer work.
