The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) is pleased to formally release the 2025 Gender and Development (GAD) Annual Report, a testament to our steadfast commitment to integrating gender-responsive governance within the Philippine tourism industry. This report provides an overview of our institutional efforts throughout the fiscal year, documenting our progress in policy mainstreaming, capacity building, and the active implementation of initiatives that champion gender equality and social inclusion.

From our strategic participation in key GAD advocacy forums and the successful ex*****on of programs, to our community-based tourism projects, this document underscores our dedication to fostering a more equitable sector. We invite our stakeholders, partners, and the public to review our accomplishments and join us in our continued efforts toward an inclusive and sustainable tourism landscape. On June 25, 2026, the TPB Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System convened to strengthen our commitment to a more gender-responsive, respectful, and inclusive workplace.

Our session highlighted key milestones from the quarter, including successful capacity-building initiatives like our Training of Trainers (TOT) and Gender Sensitivity Training (GST), which have fostered deeper awareness across the organization. We also made significant strides in policy development and internal governance through the Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI).

Looking ahead, we are scaling our advocacy through upcoming Executive Briefings and Gender Analysis Workshops. At TPB, we believe that creating a supportive environment isn't just a policy—it’s a collective, ongoing practice. Together, we continue to build a workplace where every employee can thrive.

The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) successfully concluded its Gender and Development (GAD) Training of Trainers on Gender Sensitivity!

Held last June 10-11 and 15, 2026, this three-day program brought together representatives from the DOT and its attached agencies to build a robust network of gender-responsive champions within the tourism sector.

Beyond just technical training, the participants dove into key GAD concepts—including s*x vs. gender, SOGIE-SC, Gender-Based Violence, and the fundamentals of GAD—while developing the teaching skills needed to mainstream gender equality across our programs and services.

As our new "GADbassadors" return to their offices, they carry with them the "heart of an advocate," dedicated to making equitable, gender-responsive opportunities a core standard in tourism!

Tourism Change-Makers, Unite!

Get ready to level up! The Gender and Development (GAD) Training of Trainers (TOT) on Gender Sensitivity is happening on June 10-11 and 15, 2026, at the Kingsford Hotel Manila!

This specialized training is designed for the Department of Tourism (DOT) and its attached agencies. The primary objective is to develop a pool of GAD experts and champions within the Tourism Sector who will lead mainstreaming efforts and foster a more gender-responsive industry.

We look forward to seeing our dedicated participants there as we work together toward a more inclusive future for Philippine tourism!
