The Philippine Coast Guard through its Coast Guard Gender and Development (CGGAD) Center joins the celebration in recognizing hijab as a symbol of faith, dignity, and identity for Muslim women in the PCG.

This observance also echoes Section 31(j) of the IRR of the Magna Carta of Women, which upholds women's right to dress in accordance with their cultural beliefsβ€”affirming the freedom of hijabis to express themselves and participate fully in all sectors of society, free from discrimination and prejudice.πŸ’œ
