PAF NEWS | 250PAW AT 58: A LEGACY OF SERVICE AND MISSION EXCELLENCE
The 250th Presidential Airlift Wing (PAW) of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) celebrated its 58th Founding Anniversary on September 2, 2026, at Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City, with the theme, “Focus to Fly, Maintain, Protect, and Communicate: 58 Years of Commitment to Mission Excellence and Professionalism.” The celebration was graced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and President of the Republic of the Philippines, His Excellency Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
Also in attendance were Department of National Defense Secretary Gilberto C Teodoro Jr. and Lieutenant General Arthur M Cordura PAF, Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, who, together with the 250th PAW Commander, Brigadier General Arthur D Laylo PAF, joined President Marcos Jr. in the awarding of outstanding personnel during the ceremony. The awards recognized their exemplary performance, dedication, and contributions to the Wing’s mission.
In his message, President Marcos Jr. commended the men and women of the 250th PAW for their dedication and professionalism in carrying out their mission. The celebration highlighted the Wing’s continued commitment to maintaining a capable and reliable airlift force, contributing to the PAF’s overall operational readiness and upholding the highest standards of service and mission excellence.
