PAF NEWS | 250PAW AT 58: A LEGACY OF SERVICE AND MISSION EXCELLENCE

The 250th Presidential Airlift Wing (PAW) of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) celebrated its 58th Founding Anniversary on September 2, 2026, at Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City, with the theme, “Focus to Fly, Maintain, Protect, and Communicate: 58 Years of Commitment to Mission Excellence and Professionalism.” The celebration was graced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and President of the Republic of the Philippines, His Excellency Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

Also in attendance were Department of National Defense Secretary Gilberto C Teodoro Jr. and Lieutenant General Arthur M Cordura PAF, Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, who, together with the 250th PAW Commander, Brigadier General Arthur D Laylo PAF, joined President Marcos Jr. in the awarding of outstanding personnel during the ceremony. The awards recognized their exemplary performance, dedication, and contributions to the Wing’s mission.

In his message, President Marcos Jr. commended the men and women of the 250th PAW for their dedication and professionalism in carrying out their mission. The celebration highlighted the Wing’s continued commitment to maintaining a capable and reliable airlift force, contributing to the PAF’s overall operational readiness and upholding the highest standards of service and mission excellence.

PAF NEWS | PAF CELEBRATES AIR DEFENSE COMMAND’S 65TH FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) joined the Air Defense Command (ADC) in commemorating its 65th Founding Anniversary which was graced by the Commanding General, PAF, Lieutenant General Arthur M Cordura PAF, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker at Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, on September 1, 2026.

With the theme, “ADC @65: Focused on the Mission, Sustaining and Improving Capabilities, and Co-Creating the Future of Air Defense Command,” the event also featured an awarding ceremony honoring the outstanding Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and Civilian Human Resource of the Year, alongside stakeholders whose invaluable contributions have supported the ADC’s mission and continued development.

The milestone celebration underscored the PAF’s commitment to maintaining a credible and responsive air defense capability in support of national security and the protection of Philippine airspace.

PAF NEWS | PAF S-70i BLACK HAWKS AIRLIFT DSWD RELIEF AID TO ZAMBALES

The Philippine Air Force (PAF), through the Tow Northern Luzon, PAF and the Air Logistics Support Command, PAF, in coordination with the Philippine Army, continues to support humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations by airlifting relief supplies from Clark Air Base, Pampanga, on September 1, 2026.

PAF S-70i Black Hawk helicopters airlifted 1,000 Family Food Packs (FFPs) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for delivery to affected communities in Barangay Santa Fe, San Marcelino, Zambales. The operation underscores the PAF’s commitment, alongside its government and military partners, to ensuring the timely delivery of essential assistance to communities affected by disasters.

Amid heavy rainfall and rising floodwaters in Pampanga on August 31, 2026, the team assisted affected residents in San Nicolas, San Fernando through the medical evacuation of two infants to Green City Medical Center, and responded to the needs of a cancer patient in Macabebe.

PAF NEWS | PAF STRENGTHENS DISASTER RESPONSE THROUGH AERIAL RECONNAISSANCE

The Philippine Air Force (PAF), through the Tactical Operations Group 3 (TOG 3),TOWNOL, PAF conducted aerial reconnaissance over Arayat, Floridablanca, and Porac, Pampanga on August 31, 2026.

An S-70i Black Hawk helicopter was utilized for the mission, providing timely aerial information and enhanced situational awareness of the identified areas to support disaster assessment, preparedness, and response efforts.

The operation demonstrates the PAF’s continued readiness to deploy its aerial capabilities in support of communities affected by disasters and other emergencies.
