PAF NEWS | PAF WELCOMES NEW PRESIDENTIAL AIRLIFT WING COMMANDER

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) welcomed the new Commander of the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing during the Change of Command and Donning of Ranks Ceremony held on July 27, 2026, at the PAF Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. The ceremony was presided over by the Commanding General, PAF, Lieutenant General Arthur M Cordura PAF.
During the ceremony, Major General Alvin M Hate PAF relinquished command of the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing to Colonel Arthur D Laylo PAF (GSC), who was simultaneously promoted to the rank of Brigadier General upon assuming command. The leadership transition ensures the continued stewardship of the Wing, whose mission is to provide safe, secure, and reliable airlift support to the President of the Philippines, senior government officials, and other authorised missions.
The transition reinforces the Philippine Air Force's commitment to maintaining uninterrupted, secure, reliable, and responsive presidential airlift operations. Under its new leadership, the Wing remains committed to assist the President and other government officials in support of their mission to serve the Filipino people.
