To our valued stakeholders, please be advised that in line with the ongoing enhancements to the DOT Online Accreditation System (OAS), the system will undergo scheduled maintenance and will be temporarily unavailable every weekend throughout the month of October 2026, beginning Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM until Sunday, 11:59 PM.

The system will be available during weekdays and will resume normal operations every Monday.

Our Regional Offices shall continue to assist you in your accreditation concerns. Please bear with us as we improve our system to serve you better.

The Philippines marked its eight consecutive year as Asia’s Leading Dive Destination at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Asia, Oceania & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2026, held at CROSSROADS Maldives on Sunday (Sept. 27).

The country likewise secured five other major wins, including Asia’s Leading Beach Destination 2026 for the ninth time and Asia’s Leading Island Destination 2026 for the third consecutive year.

Boracay retained its title as Asia’s Leading Luxury Island Destination 2026 for the third straight year, while the Department of Tourism (DOT) was named Asia’s Leading Tourist Board 2026 for the fourth time.

The City of San Fernando, Pampanga earned the title of Asia’s Leading Cultural City Destination 2026, marking the Philippines’ first win in the said category. The recognition highlights the city’s rich heritage, traditions, crafts, culinary offerings, and festivals, including the Giant Lantern Festival.

Philippine tourism industry players also brought home nine Asia-level awards, led by the country’s flag carrier Philippine Airlines, named Asia’s Leading Cultural Airline. Savoy Hotel Manila was recognized as Asia’s Leading Airport Hotel, while Amanpulo and Discovery Primea were named Asia’s Leading Private Island Resort and Asia’s Leading Business Hotel, respectively. Other Philippine winners were Admiral Hotel Manila - MGallery, Asia’s Leading Design Hotel; Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila, Asia’s Leading Serviced Apartments; City of Dreams Manila, Asia’s Leading Casino Resort; Fili Hotel Bridgetowne, Asia’s Leading New Luxury Hotel Development Project; and Okada Manila, Asia’s Leading Entertainment Resort.

Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards recognizes excellence across the global travel, tourism, and hospitality industries through regional and global awards. Regional winners advance to the WTA Grand Final, where they compete with winners from other regional heats for the World categories.

CALABARZON Showcases Heritage and Hospitality at MTEx 2026

The Mindanao Tourism Expo (MTEx) 2026, held from October 1–5, 2026 at the Sultan Kudarat Gymnasium in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, became a vibrant convergence of cultures, destinations, and regional pride. Among the distinguished participants was CALABARZON, whose presence underscored its commitment to promoting tourism excellence and strengthening interregional collaboration.

CALABARZON’s booth featured iconic destinations such as Nasugbu, Taal Basilica, and the scenic landscapes of Batangas, complemented by the hospitality of partner establishments like Forest Crest Nature Hotel & Resort and travel agencies including Jyl Tres Marias Travel & Tours. The exhibit was adorned with cultural motifs, promotional materials, and interactive displays, inviting visitors to “Discover More to Love” in the region.

The delegation highlighted CALABARZON’s diverse tourism offerings—from heritage towns and natural wonders to modern leisure hubs—while embodying the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence. Staff and representatives warmly engaged with expo-goers, offering brochures, local products, and immersive storytelling that reflected the region’s dedication to sustainable and community-driven tourism.

CALABARZON’s participation was not only a showcase of destinations but also a celebration of partnerships. The presence of provincial tourism offices, private stakeholders, and DOT representatives reinforced the region’s united front in promoting Philippine tourism. The exhibit stood alongside other regional showcases from Caraga, Eastern Visayas, and Central Visayas, creating a tapestry of cultural pride and hospitality across the archipelago.

As confetti filled the air during the grand opening and cultural performances enlivened the venue, CALABARZON’s contribution to MTEx 2026 resonated with visitors: tourism is not only about destinations, but also about stories, heritage, and the people who bring them to life.🫶
