The Maguindanao del Norte Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of PCOL GEORGE D BAGUNDOL JR, Provincial Director, officially launched the month-long celebration of the 31st Police Community Relations (PCR) Month through a Flag Raising Ceremony and Kick-Off Program on July 6, 2026, at around 8:00 AM at the Provincial Headquarters in Brgy. Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte. Anchored on the theme, โ๐ฆ๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ผ๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐, ๐จ๐ด๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ด ๐ฃ๐๐น๐ถ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป: ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐, ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ต๐ฎ๐ป, ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป,โ the activity was graced by Atty. Ameer Hassan G. Guiling, Chief of the Technical Service Division, NAPOLCOM-BARMM, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. The kick-off officially marked the start of a series of activities throughout the month of July aimed at strengthening police-community relations and promoting active public participation in peace and order initiatives. As part of the program, personnel of the Kabuntalan Municipal Police Station (MPS) were also awarded Certificates of Commendation in recognition of their recent operational accomplishment, highlighting the MDNPPO's commitment to recognizing exemplary service and dedication among its personnel.
In his keynote address, Atty. Guiling emphasized that peace and security are achieved not by the police or the government alone, but through strong partnerships with the community founded on trust, cooperation, and shared responsibility. He further highlighted that under the Community and Service-Oriented Policing (CSOP) framework, policing goes beyond responding to crimesโit focuses on preventing them by building meaningful relationships with the people. He stressed that the true measure of effective policing lies not only in arrests made or crimes solved, but in crimes prevented, lives protected, communities empowered, and public trust earned. Guided by these principles, the MDNPPO reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining people-centered policing and strengthening collaboration with stakeholders throughout the month-long celebration and beyond.
