𝐈𝐍 ππ‡πŽπ“πŽπ’ || In observance of the International Day of Climate Action, together with Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), FO1 Marc Steven D Flores and FO1 Cedrix Genesis E OriΓ±o participated in Mangrove Tree Planting Activity held at Purok 6, Brgy. Bagumbayan, Paracale, Camarines Norte.

This initiative aims to:

βœ… Strengthen disaster resilience by reducing storm surge and flood risks
βœ… Help mitigate climate change through mangrove reforestation
βœ… Foster partnership with local communities and organizations

𝐈𝐍 ππ‡πŽπ“πŽπ’ || SFO4 Wilfredo A Abilay Jr., Officer-In-Charge of BFP-Paracale, FO3 Jeffrey D Mabeza, and FO2 John Carmelo V Saulon attended the 2nd Semester Synchronized Barangay Assembly of Brgy. Maybato, Brgy, Tawig and Brgy, Poblacion Sur, and Brgy. Gumaus Paracale, Camarines Norte.

During the Barangay Assembly, the Paracale Fire Station personnel emphasized the importance of maintaining strong partnerships between the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the barangay officials. They highlighted that close coordination and cooperation are essential in implementing effective fire safety initiatives, enhancing community preparedness, and ensuring the overall welfare and protection of the public.

In addition, they discussed the observance of World Tsunami Awareness Day, which serves as a reminder to communities around the world about the importance of preparedness, awareness, and collective action in reducing the risks brought by tsunamis and other coastal hazards.

𝐈𝐍 ππ‡πŽπ“πŽπ’ || In preparation for the observance of All Saints and All Souls Days, the Paracale Fire Station personnel conducted a Comprehensive Fire Safety Inspection of public cemeteries, port, and bus terminals to ensure the safety and preparedness of the area during the expected influx of visitors. FO2 John Carmelo V Saulon led the Inspection of Paracale Public Cemetery, Batobalani Public Cemetery, Paracale Port, and Paracale Bus Terminal.

The inspection aimed to assess compliance with fire safety regulations, identify potential hazards, and promote overall public safety within the premises. Particular attention was given to the inspection of electrical installations, access roads, firelanes, and water sources, as well as the evaluation of waste management and sanitation practices within the cemetery grounds.

To identify potential fire hazards within households such as faulty wiring, unsecured gas tanks and other combustible materials.

This information can then be used to mitigate these hazards and prevent fires from occurring. The survey provides an opportunity for our personnel to educate households on fire safety practices and helps raise awareness and promotes a culture of safety within the community.

The activity was spearheaded by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), in collaboration with PNP Paracale, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and other concerned local government offices and national agencies. The activity aimed to enhance the readiness in responding effectively during earthquake emergencies.
