Paranaque City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office This page is intended to disseminate DRRM information, educational campaign, updates, and announcements to all Parañaque City constituents.

The Parañaque City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) is the primary agency in the City Government of Parañaque mandated by law to be responsible for setting the direction, development, implementation, and coordination of DRRM programs within its territorial jurisdiction. Established in 2011, by virtue of Republic Act 10121, or the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Manageme

nt Act of 2010, the DRRMO is focused on achieving its vision of a resilient Parañaque guided by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Framework in achieving safer, adaptive, and disaster-resilient Filipino communities toward sustainable development.

The 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲, 𝐈𝐧𝐜. participated in an 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 facilitated by the 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚ñ𝐚𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐌𝐎).

The activity aimed to strengthen the students’ and school personnel’s awareness and understanding of earthquake preparedness, including the proper actions to take 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞, 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞. Participants actively engaged in the discussion and were also given the opportunity to 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫,
allowing them to gain a more realistic understanding of what it feels like during an earthquake and reinforcing the importance of nowing the proper safety measures.

Through this hands-on learning experience, participants were encouraged to remain prepared, alert, and knowledgeable in responding to earthquake emergencies.
