BRP Valentin Diaz (PS177) Conducts Turnover of Chief Master-At-Arms and Oath-Taking Ceremony for Newly Reenlisted Personnel
Upholding the highest standards of discipline, leadership, and continuity of service, BRP Valentin Diaz (PS177) held significant events, the Turnover Ceremony of the Chief Master-at-Arms (CMAA) and after which, the Oath-Taking Ceremony of newly reenlisted personnel.
The CMAA plays a crucial role as the ship’s principal guardian of discipline, morale, and good order—shouldering the responsibility of ensuring that every sailor remains mission-focused, professionally trained, and aligned with naval traditions. The position demands steadfast leadership, impartial judgment, and the ability to navigate the daily challenges of maintaining cohesion and readiness within the ship’s company. The turnover symbolizes the seamless transition of authority and the continued commitment to uphold the core values that define the Philippine Navy.
Following the turnover, newly reenlisted personnel stood before his shipmates to reaffirm his oath of service—a continuing pledge of dedication, loyalty and readiness to be a valiant defender of the Constitution and the Filipino people.
