On June 5, 2026, personnel of Paniqui Municipal Police Station Tarlac PPO led by PSSg Henry Domingo, Patroller, under the direct supervision of PLTCOL LESTER P ZAFRA, Chief of Police, conducted a police presence/visibility and foot patrol at Barangay Poblacion Norte Paniqui, Tarlac to maintain public safety, police reaction preparedness and the prevention of potential criminal acts.

This initiative reinforces the Station’s anti-criminality campaign through sustained police visibility, public engagement, and crime prevention efforts.

In line with the PNP Core Values, particularly Makadiyos, and as part of the spiritual enrichment of every police officer, personnel of Paniqui Municipal Police Station Tarlac PPO, under the direct supervision of PLTCOL LESTER P ZAFRA, COP, carried out OPLAN BATHALA by attending mass services.

The activity aimed to strengthen the moral and spiritual well-being of the personnel, promote ethical conduct in the performance of their duties, and reinforce their commitment to public service anchored on integrity, discipline, and respect for all. Through this initiative, the personnel were encouraged to deepen their faith, foster unity, and uphold the core values of the Philippine National Police in their daily operations. # # #

PRO3 MARKS STRONG FIRST 100 DAYS UNDER PBGEN MENDEZ

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported notable gains in crime prevention, law enforcement, and organizational discipline during the first 100 days of Regional Director PBGEN Jess B. Mendez’s leadership from February 24 to June 3, 2026.

Aligned with the PNP Focused Agenda of Chief, PNP, PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., PRO3 intensified its anti-criminality efforts across Central Luzon, resulting in thousands of arrests and significant improvements in public safety indicators.

In the campaign against illegal drugs, PRO3 conducted 2,494 operations that led to the arrest of 3,407 drug personalities and the seizure of illegal drugs valued at more than ₱89 million. Efforts against loose fi****ms likewise gained momentum, with 349 violators arrested and 1,467 fi****ms recovered through confiscation, surrender, and deposit programs.

Manhunt operations also yielded substantial results, with 2,938 wanted persons arrested, including 673 Most Wanted Persons. Meanwhile, the implementation of 140 search warrants resulted in the arrest of 119 individuals involved in various criminal offenses.

Through the Safer Cities Program, police units apprehended 249,910 violators of traffic regulations and local ordinances, helping promote safer roads and more orderly communities throughout the region.

The region's peace and order situation also showed encouraging signs. Index crimes dropped from 918 cases to 883 cases, while Crime Solution Efficiency increased from 71.57% to 78.26%, reflecting improved investigative and operational performance among police units.

PRO3 likewise remained firm in its commitment to accountability and professionalism. As part of its internal cleansing efforts, 50 personnel were suspended, 15 were dismissed from the service, and two were demoted for various violations.

PBGEN Mendez credited the accomplishments to the dedication and teamwork of PRO3 personnel across Central Luzon.

“These gains are the result of the hard work and commitment of our police officers on the ground. Guided by the PNP Focused Agenda, we will continue to intensify our operations against criminality, uphold integrity within our ranks, and strengthen our partnership with the communities we serve,” PBGEN Mendez said.
As it enters the next phase of its mission, PRO3 vows to sustain its operational gains and further strengthen its commitment to people-centered policing anchored on service that is fast, honest, and truly felt by the community.
