District Learnersโ Convergence 2026 โ A Celebration of Leadership and Unity!
Last February 16, 2026, the District Learnersโ Convergence 2026 was successfully conducted at Primicias Elementary School. The event gathered student leaders and teacher-advisers of SELG, YES-O, and BKD across the district for an afternoon of collaboration, learning, and strengthened commitment to learner empowerment.
The program began with registration followed by a solemn Opening Program featuring a Patriotic Song and Doxology. Inspiring words were delivered by Mark Anthony M. Orquiza, PhD, Principal III, during his Opening Remarks. Meaningful messages were also shared by Maricel L. Florendo, EdD, Public Schools District Supervisor, and Armando S. Victorio, PhD, Principal IV and School Head In-Charge in Learner Formation, emphasizing the vital role of student leadership in promoting positive school culture.
The Presentation of Participants was led by Alvin Louie L. Abrigo, T-III, School SELG Teacher-Adviser, setting the tone for unity and shared purpose among all delegates.
An important highlight of the convergence was the Orientation of Programs under Learner Formation. Discussions on Child Right Protection were facilitated by Lynne R. Soquila, MT-I. The Learner Formation Program was presented by Alvin Louie L. Abrigo, T-III, District SELG President (Teacher-Adviser). The YES-O Program was discussed by Eugene Peralta, T-III, District YES-O Vice-President (Teacher-Adviser), while the BKD Program was presented by Jeffrey M. Tolentino, MT-II, District BKD President (Teacher-Adviser). These sessions equipped participants with clearer understanding of their roles and responsibilities as young leaders.
The activity continued with the District Federated SELG, YES-O, and BKD session, followed by the Distribution of Certificates of Recognition and Participation to the speakers, facilitators, and participants. The event concluded with the Induction Ceremony, symbolizing the commitment of newly recognized leaders to serve with integrity and dedication.
With Dr. Sarah V. Soriano, MT-I, as the Master of Ceremonies, the entire program flowed smoothly and successfully.
Indeed, the District Learnersโ Convergence 2026 was more than just a gathering โ it was a testament to strong collaboration, empowered youth leadership, and a united effort in strengthening learner formation in the district.
