Good evening everybody!

I would like to inform you, Julianians, that face-to-face classes are suspended tomorrow, August 25, 2026 (Tuesday), in all levels, both public and private, here in our Municipality of Malasiqui due to the continuous rains brought by the Habagat.

Executive Order No. 46, s. 2026 was signed by our Local Chief Executive.

In line with this, San Julian National High School will shift to Modular Distance Learning (Digitized) or Synchronous Online Classes to ensure continuity of learning.

Students Lead School Watching and Hazard Mapping Activity

SJNHS — Student leaders and selected learners actively participated in the Student-Led School Watching and Hazard Mapping Activity on August 14, 2026, aimed at promoting disaster preparedness and school safety.
The activity was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Lamberto L. Ferrer, Jr., School Head, Mr. Jener P. Fernandez, School DRRM Coordinator, and SSLG Advisers Ms. Sharlene C. Macaraeg and Mr. Jases S. Guntan.
The students were oriented on hazard identification and safety procedures before inspecting different areas of the school, including classrooms, hallways, stairways, comfort rooms, canteen, covered court, and school entrances and exits. They identified possible hazards, documented their observations, and mapped important safety features such as evacuation routes, emergency exits, and assembly areas.
The activity helped develop students' leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and awareness of safety and disaster risks. Their findings will serve as a guide in addressing potential hazards and improving the school's disaster preparedness measures.
Through this student-led initiative, SJNHS continues to promote a culture of safety, preparedness, and shared responsibility among its learners and personnel.

We are delighted to welcome Ma'am Kelly Capuentes to San Julian National High School.

A graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English from Malasiqui Agno Valley College, Ma'am Kelly joins us from President Corazon C. Aquino High School. She will be teaching Grade 11 Effective Communication and Grade 12 Creative Writing.

San Julian NHS Strengthens School Safety Through PNP-Led Security Enhancement Orientation

As part of its continuing commitment to campus safety, San Julian National High School (SJNHS) welcomed personnel from the Malasiqui Municipal Police Station for a discussion on School Security Enhancement Measures. The activity was initiated by PLTCOL Francisco A. Sawadan, Jr., Chief of Police of Malasiqui Police Station, together with members of the Malasiqui PNP, to reinforce safety initiatives and emergency preparedness within the school.

The discussion emphasized the importance of strong collaboration among the school, law enforcement agencies, parents, and barangay officials in maintaining a secure and conducive learning environment for all learners.

Among the key preventive measures presented were:

-Immediate inspection of students' school bags to help prevent prohibited or dangerous items from entering the campus.
-Security orientations for Parents and Teachers Associations (PTAs) to strengthen awareness of school safety protocols and encourage active stakeholder participation.
-Enhanced coordination with barangay officials to ensure a unified approach in addressing school security concerns.
-Guidance and counseling interventions to support learners' behavioral, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.
-Community-based family lectures for parents and guardians focusing on responsible parenting, youth development, anti-drug awareness, anti-bullying, and violence prevention, while strengthening the partnership among families, schools, and local stakeholders.
-Promotion of security awareness and preparedness by encouraging vigilance and shared responsibility in preventing potential threats and safeguarding every learner.

Participants were also introduced to the internationally recognized "Avoid, Deny, Defend" protocol, which outlines the three essential steps for increasing survival during an indoor active shooting incident. The orientation emphasized the importance of preparedness, situational awareness, and appropriate emergency response, equipping school personnel with practical knowledge that can help protect lives during critical situations.

Guided by the advocacy "Safe School, Secure Learners, Strong Communities," the activity reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Philippine National Police and San Julian National High School to ensuring a culture of safety, vigilance, and resilience. Through strengthened partnerships and proactive security initiatives, the school continues to uphold its mission of providing a safe, secure, and supportive environment where every learner can thrive.

SJNHS Joins Nationwide Nutrition Month 2026 Campaign

In support of the celebration of the 52nd Nutrition Month, the faculty members of the school, led by School Head Dr. Lamberto L. Ferrer, Jr., proudly participated in the nationwide campaign by using the official Nutrition Month 2026 Facebook frame.

Anchored on this year's theme, "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!", the initiative underscores the vital connection between environmental stewardship and food security. A healthy and sustainable future begins with the protection of our natural resources, which serve as the foundation of safe, sufficient, and nutritious food for every Filipino.

Through this gesture, the school reaffirms its commitment to promoting environmental responsibility and proper nutrition, while inspiring learners, parents, and stakeholders to become active partners in safeguarding nature for the benefit of present and future generations.

San Julian NHS Participates in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

San Julian National High School successfully participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026, at exactly 9:00 AM, together with schools and institutions across the country.

The activity was conducted to reinforce awareness, preparedness, and proper response procedures in the event of an earthquake. Learners, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff actively carried out the prescribed emergency measures beginning with the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and followed by an organized evacuation to designated safe zones.

The conduct of earthquake drills in schools serves as an essential component of disaster risk reduction and management, equipping learners and personnel with practical knowledge and response skills during emergencies.

San Julian NHS recognizes the importance of continuous preparedness initiatives and remains committed to fostering a safe and resilient school environment through active participation in disaster preparedness programs.
