Sa sini nga tion ginpresentar man ang bag-o nga Vision Statement sang Banwa sang Pan-ay:
“Historic Panay, a God-loving and empowered community with a progressive local economy, ecologically balanced environment, and principled governance.”
Ini nga tikang nagapakita sang padayon nga paninguha sang LGU sa pagpalig-on sang maayong panggobyerno kag padayon nga kauswagan sang banwa.

Tourism is more than travel, it is a lifeline for millions. In 2025, domestic tourism in the Philippines reached 134 million trips, supporting the livelihoods of 16.4 million Filipinos, while 6.48 million foreign and returning overseas Filipino tourists helped drive local economies across the country.

As we look ahead to 2026 and the call for resilient tourism, the message is clear: tourism must be able to withstand climate shocks while protecting the people, places, and ecosystems it depends on. For countries like the Philippines, sustainable and climate-resilient tourism can strengthen local economies, conserve biodiversity, empower communities, and promote responsible use of our oceans, coasts, and cultural heritage.

In line with Global Tourism Resilience Day (February 17), this is a reminder that investing in sustainable tourism is investing in climate resilience, ensuring that tourism continues to create decent work, reduce poverty, and support inclusive growth, even in the face of climate change and future disruptions.

Global Tourism Resilience Day (17 February), proclaimed by the General Assembly in resolution A/RES/77/269, aims to emphasize the need to foster resilient tourism development to deal with shocks, taking into account the vulnerability of the tourism sector to emergencies.

From the Climate Change Commission, the call for climate action becomes a call to care—for one another and for the generations to come. Building resilience is an act of love for our families, our communities, and our nation.
