Nagpahigayon ang Panabo City Health Office (CHO) sa International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2026, nga adunay temang β€œLight the Legacy: Remember. Advance. Act. – Keeping the Light Alive", nga gipahitabo niadtong Mayo 26, 2026 didto sa Freedom Gym, Barangay New Pandan.

Ang maong kalihokan nagtumong sa paghinumdom sa mga kinabuhi nga nawala tungod sa HIV/AIDS, pagpakita og suporta sa mga Persons Living with HIV (PLHIV), ug pagpadayon sa kampanya batok sa stigma ug diskriminasyon. Ang International AIDS Candlelight Memorial usa ka tinuig nga kalihokan nga ginasaulog sa nagkadaiyang lugar sa kalibutan isip simbolo sa paghiusa, paglaom, ug aksyon batok sa HIV/AIDS.

Gitambongan kini sa nagkadaiyang ahensya sa gobyerno, partner organizations, health advocates, ug mga miyembro sa komunidad nga nagpakita sa ilang suporta alang sa mas inklusibo ug mas lig-on nga kampanya batok sa HIV/AIDS.

Kabahin sa programa ang audiovisual presentation, update sa HIV trends, pinning of red ribbon, candle lighting ceremony, ug community singing isip simbolo sa paghinumdom ug pagpakita sa panaghiusa sa komunidad.

Gipasiugdahan usab sa mga resource speakers ug partner agencies ang kahinungdanon sa edukasyon, maayong pag-atiman sa panglawas, ug pagwagtang sa diskriminasyon aron mapalambo ang kahimtang sa mga apektado sa HIV/AIDS.

Pinaagi sa maong kalihokan, padayon nga gipakita sa CHO ang ilang dedikasyon sa pagpasiugda sa kahibalo, pagpanalipod sa katungod sa matag usa, ug paghatag og paglaom pinaagi sa panaghiusa sa komunidad.

Ang panagtigom nagtutok sa pagpangandam sa siyudad batok sa posibleng epekto sa El NiΓ±o, ilabi na sa lima (5) ka importanteng sektor: seguridad sa pagkaon, kuryente, tubig, panglawas, ug publikong seguridad.

Sa seguridad sa pagkaon, gituki ang kahimtang sa mga tanom, kahayupan, pangisdaan, mag-uuma, mangingisda, irrigation facilities, ug seed stocks, apil ang plano sa rotational irrigation ug distribusyon sa drought-resistant seeds.

Sa seguridad sa kuryente, gihatagan og pagtagad ang koordinasyon sa service providers ug business continuity measures aron mapadayon ang importanteng serbisyo panahon sa taas nga kainit.

Sa seguridad sa tubig, gipresentar ang kahimtang sa water sources, reservoirs, water tankers, ug critical water infrastructure, lakip ang water conservation ug maintenance plans.

Sa seguridad sa panglawas, gipalig-on ang monitoring sa heat-related illnesses ug water-borne diseases, apil ang kahandaan sa tambal, IV fluids, hygiene kits, ug health advisories.

Nagpahigayon ang LGU Panabo og Blessing ug Turnover Ceremony alang sa bag-ong Mitsubishi L300 nga sakyanan diin opisyal na gamiton sa City Health Office (CHO) – Population and Development Section (PopDev).

Ang pagbendisyon sa maong sakyanan gipangunahan ni Rev. Fr. Jhoniel D. Poliquit sa San Antonio De Padua Chaplaincy Tadeco, uban ni City Administrator Pedrito A. Misoles ug mga kawani sa CHO-PopDev nga gipangulohan ni Population Officer III Lorelie R. Oriol.

Ang sakyanan dakong dugang suporta sa operasyon sa PopDev aron mas mapaspas ug mapalapdan pa ang paghatag og serbisyo sa komunidad. Magamit kini sa pag-asikaso ug paghatod sa mga kliyente nga mopailawom og Bilateral Tubal Ligation (BTL) ug Non-scalpel Vasectomy (NSV) ngadto sa mga publikong ospital.

Dugang pa, pinaagi sa sakyanan mas mapadali usab ang paglibot ug pagbisita sa mga Barangay Health Centers ilawom sa Family Planning Program, Teen Centers sa matag barangay ug eskwelahan, ingon man ang pag-monitor ug pag-validate sa population data sa lain-laing lugar sa dakbayan.
