516th NROTC Unit 516th NROTC Unit is a Branch of NAVRESCOM(Naval Reserve Command)

NAVRESCOM through its four pillars - Reserve Affairs, Administration, Reserve Manpower Development, Reserve Force Development and Reservist and Public Affair ensures prompt reaction in mobilizing naval reservists upon signal from higher Headquarters; Conduct unit and individual training for organic and reservists and pre-reservist training; Develop and evaluate advancement and classification of Na

Provide intelligence information in support to Internal Security Operations and Territorial Defense effort of the AFP through involvement of PN reservists in information gathering; and, Enhance and sustain the administration and operational capabilities of the different RRA implementing units.

Attention, 516th NROTCU Cadets and Cadettes!

Please be informed that there will be NO FACE-TO-FACE ROTC TRAINING on August 22, 2026 (Saturday). In accordance with the NSTP Office Memorandum, the scheduled ROTC training will be conducted through ONLINE/ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING.

The session will focus on online discussion. All cadets are expected to check the official communication platform for announcements, updates, and instructions.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝟓𝟏𝟔𝐓𝐇 𝐍𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐔 - 𝟏𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 (𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑

The 516th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit (NROTCU) of Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) conducted its 1st Saturday Formation on 15 August 2026 at PIT oval and PIT gymnasium.

The activity commenced with the Morning Colors, led by M/CDR CRIS ANGELO P CABALHIN 1CL, Corps Commander, followed by the rank muster and inspection of the cadets.

During the instructional period, CPO Jessica A Baltes PN (RES) Training Staff, discussed the Legal Basis of the ROTC Program, while M/CDR Cris Angelo P Cabalhin 1CL discussed the AFP Organization.

The cadets then conducted Close Order Drill (COD) under the supervision of their respective Platoon Leaders, strengthening their discipline, coordination, and proper military bearing.

Meanwhile, the Midshipman/Midshipwoman Officer Candidate Course (MOCC) was assigned under the supervision of M/LCDR Ken Mark Bonga 2CL BN N3, and M/LCDR JM Velasco 2CL BN N8, focusing on further training and advancement.

The entire activity was closely monitored and supervised by PO2 Jerome A Arquillano PN, Petty Officer-in-Charge (POIC) and SN1 Timothy Jake M De Vera PN, Assistant POIC, who ensured the proper coordination, organization, and smooth conduct of the training activities throughout the formation.

As part of the preparation for the new training year, the 516th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit (NROTCU) conducted a Course Orientation on 08 August 2026 at the PIT Gymnasium.

The orientation was facilitated by Chief Petty Officer (CPO) Jessica A Baltes PN (RES), Training Staff, who discussed important information, guidelines, and expectations to help cadets better understand the NROTC program and their responsibilities as cadets.

CPO Mae Flor V Sagnoy PN (RES), NSTP Coordinator, and PO1 Karyn Lea Beltran PN (RES), ROTC Facilitator, also shared additional information and guidance to further prepare the cadets for the requirements and activities of the training program.

The processing of the Philippine Navy Reserve Military ID is now ongoing. All reservists are encouraged to prepare and submit the complete documentary requirements to facilitate the processing of their Military Identification Card.

✅ ADT Order for the Present Calendar Year (If none, please provide ₱100.00)
✅ One (1) 2×2 ID Picture wearing PBDU/SBDU
✅ Original PSA Birth Certificate
• New Applicants: Original PSA with official receipt (issued within the last 6 months)
• Renewal: Original PSA Birth Certificate only (receipt not required)
✅ Old Military ID (for renewal applicants)
✅ Accomplished Military ID Application Form
