KATROPA SESSION | SAN MIGUEL, LEYTE

The Provincial Population Office conducted a KATROPA (Kalalakihang Tapat sa Responsibilidad at Obligasyon sa Pamilya) Session on August 13, 2026, at the Evacuation Center, San Miguel, Leyte, with 24 probationers participating.

The activity aimed to strengthen men's awareness of responsible parenthood, family responsibilities, and their important role in promoting healthy and supportive families.

The office extends its sincere gratitude to Governor Carlos Jericho “Icot” Petilla, Chief Probation and Parole Officer Jesus C. Berongoy, Municipal Mayor Atty. Norman D. Sabdao, and Municipal Population Officer Judith Padilla for their invaluable support and partnership in the successful conduct of the activity.

KATROPA SESSION | Burauen & Dagami, Leyte

The Provincial Population Office conducted a KATROPA Session on August 12, 2026, at Cantimawa, Burauen, Leyte, in collaboration with participants from Dagami.

The activity gathered 62 probationers from Burauen (60 male, 2 female) and 63 male probationers from Dagami, for a total of 125 participants. The session promoted responsible fatherhood, stronger family relationships, and men’s active participation in family and community life.

KATROPA SESSION | MAYORGA, LEYTE 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

The Provincial Population Office conducted a KATROPA Session on August 11, 2026 (PM) at the Municipal Function Hall, Mayorga, Leyte, participated in by 49 male Barangay Officials, Bantay Dagat members, and members of the Basketball Association.

The activity strengthened men’s awareness of their roles and responsibilities as active partners in building responsible, healthy, and stronger families.

Our heartfelt thanks to Governor Carlos Jericho “Icot” Petilla for his continued support. We also thank and acknowledge Mayor Hon. Alexander Salvador S. De Paz and MPO Beejay Kristine Lacandazo for their valuable support and assistance in the successful conduct of the activity.

The Provincial Population Office successfully conducted a KATROPA (Kalalakihang Tapat sa Responsibilidad at Obligasyon sa Pamilya) Session for 54 probationers (50 males and 4 females) on August 5, 2026, at the Carigara Municipal Function Hall, Carigara, Leyte. The activity empowered participants to become responsible partners, fathers, and advocates of strong family values.

On August 4, 2026, the Provincial Population Office conducted an Adolescent Responsible Sexuality Education (ARSE) session at the Galicano N. Ruiz Center, Isabel, Leyte, with 80 SSLG Officers from different high schools in Isabel (28 male, 52 female).

On the afternoon of July 30, 2026, the Provincial Population Office conducted an Adolescent Reproductive and Sexuality Education (ARSE) session for 61 Grade 12 students (35 males and 26 females) at Calunangan National High School, Merida, Leyte.
