The Provincial Government of Leyte headed by Hon. Carlos Jericho L. Petilla, Provincial Governor successfully convened the Provincial Development Council (PDC) Meeting on September 3, 2026 held at Multi Purpose Hall, Leyte Provincial Capitol Complex, Palo, Leyte. Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) were duly represented by Mr. Cyril Jose Ignacio, President of the Leyte People's Council (LPC), who actively participated in the deliberations and formulation of the proposed development plans and priorities of the Province of Leyte.

Together with the members of the Local Special Bodies and other designated representatives to the Provincial Development Council, the CSO sector contributed valuable insights and recommendations aimed at advancing inclusive, participatory, and sustainable development for the province. Their active engagement reflects the vital role of civil society in promoting good governance and ensuring that development initiatives remain responsive to the needs and aspirations of the people of Leyte.

Successfully hosted the 3rd Quarterly Leyte People's Council Convergence Meeting, bringing together Municipal People's Council Presidents, from across the province in a spirit of collaboration and shared purpose.

The gathering served as a meaningful platform to strengthen partnerships, share updates, and reaffirm our commitment to participatory governance and community development.

Thank you to all who joined and contributed to the success of this convergence. Together, we continue to build stronger and more empowered communities in Leyte.

Witnessing an evening of meaningful celebration and fellowship during the CSO Night of the Municipality of Dulag, Leyte, under the able leadership of Mrs. Catalina Petilos, Municipal People's Council President. The event served as a fitting occasion to recognize the invaluable contributions of civil society organizations, strengthen partnerships, and reaffirm our shared commitment to advancing community development and good governance.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Municipal Mayor Hon. Jude Artates Agullo, Hon. Raissa M. Villasin, Board Member of the 2nd District of Leyte and Hon. Ronnan Christian M. Reposar, 1st District Board Member and Chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Accreditation and Cooperatives. Also in attendance was Mr. Cyril Jose Ignacio, President of the Leyte People's Council, whose presence further underscored the significance of the event and the shared commitment of stakeholders toward strengthening civil society participation.

The Leyte People’s Council successfully conducted its Executive Committee Meeting on August 12, 2026, bringing together officers and stakeholders to discuss key organizational updates, strengthen collaboration, and advance initiatives that promote meaningful citizen participation and good local governance in the Province of Leyte.
