According to Proclamation No. 1667 issued November 18, 2008, we observe “Global Warming and Climate Change Consciousness Week” every year from November 19 to 25.

This year’s CCC Week theme, “Klima ng Kinabukasan, Ating Pangalagaan”, seeks to highlight efforts of many sectors geared toward achieving this ambition, particularly on strengthening adaptation and mitigation strategies, rehabilitating ecosystems, greening value chains and technologies, and mobilizing climate finance.

Magandang balita para sa ating mga Transport Cooperatives! Accessible na ang website ng Social Security System sa otc.gov.ph kaya mas mapapadali na ang transaksyon sa SSS tulad ng pag-aaply ng SS number, pag monitor ng inyong contributions, loans atbp.

Magpunta lamang sa otc.gov.ph hanapin ang logo ng SSS na makikita sa right side ng inyong screen. I-click ito at maaari nang simulan ang inyong transaction sa SSS.

The Dagami Transport Cooperative conducted a kick-off ceremony for their 14 modern PUJ Class 2 units of Durabuilt in the Municipal Grounds of Dagami, Leyte last August 05, 2021.

The PUVs that are set to ply within the routes Tacloban - Dagami & V.V. and Tacloban - Dagami - Guinarona & V.V. shall provide safe and convenient transport service to the commuting public in accordance with the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP).

Present in the event were Dagami Mayor Hon. Abundio I. Delusa, LTFRB Regional Director Mr. Gualberto N. Gualberto, LBP-Leyte Lending Center Head Ms. Restituta Iligan, OTC Regional Desk Office Training Specialist Ms. Marjory B. Diaz, LTFRB OIC Chief Transportation Development Officer Ms. Veronica Cecilia N. Reposar, CDA Cooperative Development Specialist Ms. Herminigilda B. Mandia, Dagami PNP Chief of Police PMAJ Dennis N. Gatela, TripKo Representative Mr. Gemartine M. Gaditano, LTO Representatives, Dagami SB Members and personnel from Durabuilt Motors Inc.

Dagami Transport Cooperative Chairperson Ret. Army MSgt. Emmanuel Borja expressed his gratitude for the assistance from the PUVMP-concerned agencies and the trust and support from their TC officers and members. He also added that their success was not only for their cooperative but also for their community.

Health and safety protocols set by the Department of Health (DOH) such as wearing of face masks and social distancing were observed in the activity.

'TSUPER ISKOLAR’ MAY 2, 846 PANG SLOTS NA BUKAS PARA SA MGA DRIVERS, OPERATORS, CONDUCTORS

Hinihikayat ni Transportation Sec. Art Tugade, ang mga drivers, operators, conductors at iba pang stakeholders sa ilalim ng Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) na sumali at makilahok sa “Tsuper Iskolar” Program, na naglalayong bigyan ng bago at karagdagang kaalaman ang mga beneficiariea, lalo ngayong panahon ng pandemya.

Mayroong 2,846 slots sa ilalim ng programang ito ang nananatiling bukas para sa mga drivers, operators, at iba pang transport stakeholders, ayon sa pinakabagong datos mula sa Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), ang katuwang na ahensya ng DOTr.

Ayon sa TESDA, 13,682 na ang kabuuang bilang ng graduates ng programa sa ilalim ng Php350 million na naunang pondong inilaan para rito kung saan 20,909 beneficiariea ang inaasahang makikinabang. Mahigit 12,000 sa 13,682 graduates ay nakapasa na sa assessment kung saan sinuri ang kanilang kahandaan sa pagsabak sa kanilang piniling kurso, at 10,281 sa mga ito ay certified na. Hindi naman bababa sa 2,391 ang nakakuha na nang hanapbuhay matapos sumailalim sa TESDA training.

May 4,381 na beneficiaries pa ang kasalukuyang naka-enrol sa iba’t ibang rehiyon subalit mayroon pa ring mga eskwelahan na nananatiling suspendido ang mga training alinsunod sa umiiral na community quarantine restrictions partikular sa Metro Manila at mga kalapit lungsod.

Inilunsad noong ika-28 ng Hunyo 2019, layon ng scholarship program na bigyan ng iba’t ibang skills ang mga benepisyaryo upang mapaganda ang kanilang mga buhay piliin man nilang manatili o lumisan sa industriya ng transportasyon sa ilalim ng PUVMP.

Sa ilalim ng scholarship program, maaaring mamili sa mga kursong handog ng TESDA ang mga drivers, operators at maging ang mga kaanak nito. Ang mga beneficiaries ng programa ay makakatanggap ng free skills training, free skills assessment, at free entrepreneurship training.

Dagdag pa dito, mayroon ding food at transportation allowance na nagkakahalaga ng Php350 kada araw para sa 30-35 training days upang hindi makaapekto sa kanilang pangkabuhayan ang pagdalo sa mga training sessions.

Para sa mga nagnanais maging iskolar ng programa, maaaring magsumite ng application form sa pinakamalapit na opisina ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Office of the Transportation Cooperatives (OTC), o Land Transportation Office (LTO). Maliban dito, tatanggap din ng mga aplikante ang TESDA mula sa Barangay Skills Need Survey (BSNS) at mga organized enrollment seminars at fairs, maging online at walk-in applicants.

Ngayong taon, inaasahan pang madagdagan ng higit 4,000 na slots ang programa mula sa nakalaang pondo na Php 100 million sa ilalim ng General Appropriations Act (GAA) para sa PUVMP Social Support Mechanism Component.

Kung mayroong katanungan ukol sa programa, maaari itong ipadala sa [email protected] upang matugunan ito nang naaayon.

Ang Tsuper Iskolar Program ay bahagi ng Stakeholder Support Mechanism ng PUVMP at inilunsad alinsunod sa Memorandum of Agreement sa pagitan ng DOTr at TESDA taong 2018.
