On 17 July 2026, the 9th Field Artillery Firestorm Battalion conducted a tree planting activity at its headquarters in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija, under the theme "Green Hands Create Green Lands." The initiative reaffirmed the battalion's commitment to environmental stewardship while fulfilling its mission of national defense. Led by LTC RONALD C VISPO ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, the initiative highlighted that soldiers serve not only as defenders but also as caretakers of the nation’s natural resources. “Every tree planted is a legacy for cleaner air and a healthier environment,” LTC VISPO stated, noting that such efforts strengthen military-community ties.

The activity was led by LTC RONALD C. VISPO ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of the battalion, who emphasized that soldiers are not only defenders of the nation but also responsible stewards of its natural resources. In his message, he stated, "Every tree planted is a legacy for cleaner air, a healthier environment, and a more sustainable future." He further highlighted that environmental initiatives such as tree planting strengthen the partnership between the military and the community while contributing to long-term ecological sustainability.

The activity was conducted in partnership with the Palayan City Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), represented by Forester Mariqueen Andrea D. Arcia, Officer-in-Charge of the Technical Services Division. Her team provided technical expertise on appropriate tree species selection, proper planting techniques, and post-planting maintenance to help ensure a high survival rate of the seedlings. Forester Arcia commended the battalion's initiative, stating, "This partnership demonstrates that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility. Through collaboration, we can create lasting benefits for future generations."

As a gesture of appreciation for their invaluable support and technical assistance, the battalion presented Certificates of Appreciation and tokens to the personnel of the Palayan City Environment and Natural Resources Office (City ENRO) in recognition of their significant contribution to the success of the activity and to further strengthen the partnership between the military and the City Government of Palayan.

The program concluded with a group photo, commemorating the successful collaboration between the 9th Field Artillery Firestorm Battalion and PENRO. As the newly planted trees take root and flourish, they will serve as lasting symbols of the shared commitment of both military and civilian sectors to environmental conservation, sustainable development, and nation-building. The initiative stands as a testament to the belief that through unity and collective action, greener, safer, and more resilient communities can be built for generations to come.

Pagbati mula sa 9th Field Artillery (FIRESTORM) Battalion ngayong Araw ng mga Ina.
Sa bawat Ina, Asawa, at Kapatid ng ating mga minamahal na Firestorm Troopers — maaaring hindi kayo nakahawak ng armas o nakasuot ng uniporme, ngunit taglay ninyo ang parehong katapangan, tibay ng loob, at sakripisyong ipinapakita ng isang tunay na sundalo.

Habang ang ating mga Firestorm Troopers ay handang humarap sa panganib at magsakripisyo alang-alang sa bayan, kayo naman ang tahimik na lumalaban sa bawat araw ng pangungulila, pag-aalala, at pananabik sa kanilang ligtas na pagbabalik. Kayo ang mga pusong walang sawang naghihintay, nagdarasal, at umaasang muling mayayakap ang inyong mahal sa buhay matapos ang bawat misyon at tungkulin.

Maraming gabi ang lumilipas na puno ng kaba at lungkot. Maraming pagkakataong kayo’y napapaiyak sa katahimikan, ngunit pinipili pa rin ninyong maging matatag para sa inyong pamilya. Sa bawat sakripisyo at tahimik na pagdurusa, ipinapakita ninyo ang uri ng pagmamahal na hindi matitinag ng distansya, panganib, o panahon.

Kayo ang nagsisilbing tahanan ng bawat Firestorm Trooper — ang kanilang lakas sa oras ng panghihina, kapayapaan sa gitna ng kaguluhan, at inspirasyong patuloy nilang inuuwi sa puso saan man sila dalhin ng tungkulin.

Sa likod ng bawat matapang na Firestorm Trooper may isang inang walang sawang nagdarasal para sa kaligtasan ng kanyang anak, isang asawang buong pusong naghihintay at umaalalay sa pamilya, at isang kapatid na patuloy na nagbibigay ng pagmamahal, suporta, at pag-unawa.

Ngayong pagdiriwang ng Araw ng mga Ina, nais naming ipaabot ang pinakamataas na pagpupugay at taos-pusong pasasalamat sa inyong kabutihan, pagtitiis, at walang kapantay na pagmamahal. Kayo ang mga tahimik na bayani sa likod ng bawat tagumpay ng ating mga Firestorm Troopers. Ang inyong puso ang tunay na apoy na nagbibigay-lakas sa kanilang patuloy na paglilingkod para sa bayan.

Maligayang Araw ng mga Ina sa lahat ng Ina, Asawa, at Kapatid ng ating mga Firestorm Troopers. Nawa’y patuloy kayong pagpalain at ingatan ng Poong Maykapal. Mabuhay kayo — ang mga pusong handang magsakripisyo at umunawa alang-alang sa pamilya, pagmamahal, at sa bayan.

The 9th Field Artillery Battalion (9FAB), led by its Battalion Commander, actively participated in the community fun run themed “Tumaray Tayo”—meaning “Let Us Run”—held in Barangay Macatbong, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

The event was successfully organized under the leadership of Barangay Sanguniang Kabataan Chairperson, Honorable Ram E. Pangilinan, and brought together participants from various sectors in support of a meaningful cause. Proceeds and contributions generated from the activity will be allocated to three key community priorities: environmental initiatives, the local Integrated School, and the Barangay Daycare Center. Specifically, funds will support nature conservation projects, provide learning materials and facility improvements for students, and procure essential educational supplies for young learners in the daycare center.

In her remarks, SK Chairperson Pangilinan expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all participants and partners. “I thank every participant and partner who made this event possible. Your effort and generosity will go a long way in helping our community and our children,” she said.

For his part, the Battalion Commander reaffirmed the unit’s commitment to community-oriented programs. “Running together for a good cause strengthens our bond with the community we serve. We are proud to support initiatives that protect our environment and invest in the future of our youth,” he emphasized.

The fun run fostered camaraderie and unity, highlighting the strong partnership between the military and local residents. This initiative reflects 9FAB’s thrust as a people-centered organization and underscores the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ enduring mandate: “Serving the People, Securing the Land.”
