As the first half of the year comes to a close, the Palayan City Tourism Office proudly recognizes and extends its heartfelt gratitude to our On-the-Job Trainees from AU, CRT, CLSU, and NEUST, as well as our immersion students from Rizal Memorial Colleges and Malacañang National High School, who have successfully completed their training with our office.

Your time with us may have been temporary, but the contributions you made will always be appreciated. Through your dedication, willingness to learn, and commitment to every task entrusted to you, you became valuable members of our team. Whether assisting in office operations, supporting tourism programs and activities, or helping serve our stakeholders and visitors, your efforts played an important role in our day-to-day work.

More than the accomplishments and tasks completed, we are grateful for the enthusiasm, fresh perspectives, and positive energy you brought to the workplace. Your presence reminded us that learning is a continuous journey and that the future is bright in the hands of young individuals who are eager to serve and make a difference.

As part of our commitment to youth development and capacity building, the 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, in collaboration with the 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (CDRRMO), facilitated the participation of Tourism Office On-the-Job Trainees (OJTs) from various universities and SPES beneficiaries in a 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (𝗕𝗟𝗦) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The training, conducted by the Palayan City CDRRMO, provided participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in emergency response, life-saving techniques, and water safety—valuable competencies that can be applied both in their future careers and in everyday situations.

At the Palayan City Tourism Office, we believe that our responsibility goes beyond providing workplace exposure. Through partnerships and collaborative initiatives such as this, we aim not only to guide and mentor our trainees and youth beneficiaries but also to equip them with skills, confidence, and experiences that will help them become responsible, capable, and community-oriented individuals.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Palayan City DRRMO for sharing their expertise and for their continued support in empowering the youth through life-saving education and disaster preparedness training.

On May 29, 2026, the City Government of Palayan, through the 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, had the honor of welcoming the 𝗡𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮 𝗘𝗰𝗶𝗷𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen tourism development and enhance the province’s tourism offerings.

Led by Provincial Tourism Officer 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗳𝗮𝗻 𝗖. 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼, the Provincial Tourism Team conducted site visits to several established and emerging tourist destinations, as well as tourism-related establishments within the city. The activity also included the validation and assessment of Palayan City’s submitted tourist itinerary to ensure the accuracy of information, destination readiness, and the quality of visitor experiences.

The Provincial Tourism Team was warmly received by City Administrator 𝗠𝘀. 𝗢𝗹𝗴𝗮 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗠. 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗻 and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗘𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮 of the Palayan City Tourism Office. The City also extends its sincere gratitude to 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗶 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗝. 𝗖𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘀 for her unwavering support of initiatives that promote tourism development. Her commitment to advancing the local tourism industry continues to inspire collaborative efforts that create opportunities, strengthen local destinations, and contribute to the city’s sustainable growth and progress.

Nagsagawa ng site visit ang Provincial Tourism Office sa mga umiiral at umuusbong na destinasyong panturismo, gayundin sa mga tourism-related establishments sa Palayan City bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagpapalakas ng turismo sa lalawigan.

Layunin ng aktibidad na suriin ang kahandaan at potensyal ng mga pasyalan, tukuyin ang mga oportunidad para sa pagpapabuti ng mga serbisyo, at matiyak ang de-kalidad na karanasan para sa mga turista.

Kasabay nito, isinagawa rin ng Provincial Tourism Office ang beripikasyon ng isinumiteng Palayan City Tourist Itinerary upang matiyak ang katumpakan ng mga impormasyon at ang pagiging angkop ng mga nakapaloob na tour program para sa mga bisita.

Pinangunahan ang pagtanggap sa grupo nina City Administrator Olga Rose M. Berdon at Eunice Nicole Alcantara ng Palayan City Tourism Office. Nagpahayag naman ng pasasalamat ang Provincial Tourism Office sa suporta ni City Mayor Viandre Nicole Cuevas at sa mainit na pagtanggap ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Palayan City.

Ayon sa Provincial Tourism Office, patuloy nitong isinusulong ang pagpapaunlad ng turismo sa ilalim ng pamumuno nina Governor Aurelio 'Oyie' Matias Umali at Vice Governor Gil Raymond 'Lemon' Umali.

Layon ng pamahalaang panlalawigan na higit pang maipakilala ang mayamang kultura, kasaysayan, at mga atraksyong panturismo ng Nueva Ecija upang makahikayat ng mas maraming bisita at makapagbigay ng dagdag na oportunidad sa lokal na ekonomiya. # # # # #

Every May 28, the nation commemorates 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒈 𝑫𝒂𝒚 — a meaningful occasion that marks the beginning of the observance leading to the celebration of the 𝟭𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆.

In preparation for this historic celebration, Palayan City is now proudly adorned with vibrant Philippine flags displayed along major roads, government offices, and key public spaces. This initiative, led by the Honorable 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗶 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗝. 𝗖𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘀, reflects the city’s unwavering patriotism and deep respect for the sacrifices of our Filipino heroes.

The installation of Philippine flags is conducted in accordance with 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝟳𝟵, which mandates the proper display of the national flag in all government offices, buildings, establishments, and public spaces from May 28 to June 12.

This meaningful activity is spearheaded by the 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 in coordination with the 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, as part of the city’s commitment to promote nationalism, preserve our identity, and honor the freedom that generations of Filipinos fought for.

As the capital of Nueva Ecija, 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 proudly joins the entire nation in celebrating the bravery, resilience, and unity of the Filipino people.

DOT-Region III shares the recognition received by Regional Director, Dr. Richard G. Daenos during the 3rd Philippine LEAF Awards held on 21 May 2026 at the Porac Municipal Sports and Cultural Center Gymnasium in Porac, Pampanga.

RD Daenos was conferred the Distinguished Cultural Stewardship & Visionary Leadership Award in recognition of his leadership and support for cultural preservation, heritage promotion, and tourism development initiatives in Central Luzon.

The recognition reflects the continued commitment of DOT Region III to promote and preserve the region’s cultural heritage while advancing sustainable and community-based tourism development.

The Philippine LEAF Awards celebrates exceptional Filipino artists in live entertainment, fashion, and festivals. Its 2026 edition, titled “Tertulia at Parangal sa Porac,” marked the first time the awards ceremony was conducted outside Metro Manila, taking place in Porac, Pampanga and honoring cultural properties in Luzon alongside outstanding creatives and cultural advocates.

This prestigious national cycling event gathered a total of 91 local and international cyclists, bringing excitement, sportsmanship, and national recognition to our city. More importantly, the 𝑴𝑷𝑻𝑪 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑳𝒖𝒛𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚, as visitors, teams, organizers, media personnel, and supporters experienced the city’s warm hospitality, vibrant culture, and promising tourism potential.

During the event, resorts and hotels in Palayan City were mostly fully booked, reflecting the growing impact of sports tourism on the local economy and proving that Palayan City is steadily becoming a preferred destination for major national events. Beyond the competition, the event created opportunities for local businesses, tourism establishments, and communities to showcase the true beauty and hospitality of the city.

The Stage 3 race concluded with 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 crossing the finish line first, marking a remarkable highlight of the competition.

The participants and guests were warmly welcomed by our 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗩𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗶 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗝. 𝗖𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘀, who personally extended congratulations to the cyclists and winners while expressing gratitude to the organizers and partners behind the successful conduct of the event.

To the organizers of the MPTC Tour of Luzon 2026, thank you for choosing Palayan City as part of this prestigious national sporting event. Your trust has not only strengthened sports tourism in our city but has also opened greater opportunities for local tourism, economic activity, and community pride.

This success is more than just a finished race—it is a reminder that when a community works together, progress follows. Every cheering spectator, every volunteer, every participating office, and every hardworking Palayano became part of this meaningful milestone for our city. The smiles of our visitors, the fully occupied accommodations, and the overwhelming support from the community are proof that Palayan City is ready to welcome bigger opportunities in tourism, sports, and development.
